Does anyone know where the nearest Barclay's Bank is?if in fact, there is one!! There was one in Quesada, but that's gone.

THE FORUM IS BACK!

Hello to everyone in La Marina and those of us that love the place and of course to La Marina life its nice to be back in contact with everyone again, life has not been the same over the last few months without you all.
I see that the site has a lot more things to be added but at least we have our forum back. I would just like to ask everyone to get registered and tell everyone the forum is back so that we can build our on line community again, and so that I have some one to take to.

Hi. We have recently moved from the UK ( just before the referendum) to La Marina. Lovely area with lots to do and lovely people.
But very concerned about the future in regards to our pensions and health care after the UK leaves!
Such a worrying time for myself and my wife as we are now pensioners.

Would love to hear from anyone in the area that is in the same situation as us. I have noticed that this site has an events calendar which you can add any events. What would be a great idea if we could all get together in a local bar and have a good ole chin wag!
Then we can add the bar and the date and time on the events calendar?
anyone out there interested?
Our very best wishes.
Bob and Sandra x

Dear Sandra and Bob.
Firstly, welcome to Spain!

Many thanks for joining our forum. Like you we are hoping that people will start to use this once more, as it was very popular in the past.
The Forum was designed for the sole purpose to use for people to get in contact with each other.
We do not allow things to be sold on our Forum ( Like others)
You mentioned our events calendar and you are 100% correct in what you are saying.
It can be used by our members to let people know of any forthcoming events. We welcome owners of local bars to post on our events calendar
letting local people know of what their bar has lined up for the future. Entertainment, Bingo, charity events etc.
Just click the date it is happening and let people know!
It is 100% free to use and you can let all our members know of your forthcoming events.

Anything we can help you with, then please let us know.

Little Yellow Noddy Car

Just sitting here watching the Bahrain Gran Prix with my 4 year old grandson who has been with us for a few weeks holiday. He had us all in stitches as he was convinced that he had seen Noddies car on the Urb, of course we assumed his imagination was running wild as it can do when you're 4. However we saw the aforementioned car on the road by Dos Mas the other day being driven by an old lady. My grandson is now not only convinced that Noddy and his car are alive and well on the Urb but that he is here on the Urb and living with his Granny! Oh to be young.

British car mechanic

Big FM...Rip Off FM

Throwing a question out there, yes im new to this thread, i myself have screened it for many a year.
BIG FM radio station are a comeplete waste of airtime. Not only are some of the DJs useless, the station nonstop plays adverts and then some more adverts. Their entire Facebook stinks and it has one interest, money. Every post is about 1€ advertising and we dont lie about the figures for how many listeners. Big Fm, how many listeners do you have, as my own conclusion is, either Bay Radio or, Radio Donna are the peoples choice.
My suggestion, stop bashing and talking about other stations, keep your nose out of others business

JH

thank you JH for your comment as we always listen to opinions, for your information we have the least amount of advertising than any LIVE radio station on the Costa Blanca with only 12 minutes of advertising in each hour in comparison to some, I am sorry that you feel this way about our station however it is clear that you prefer to listen to our competition and that is your choice, free will is a wonderful thing. our comment about listener figures is correct as it is impossible to know how many listeners we have as the technology to tell me if you have your radio on and tuned to big fm doesnt exist
We make no pretence that we are a community radio station and with the largest crew of live presenters on any english radio station in spain who by the way are all volunteers we work for the benefit of our community and play what we are asked to .
our advertising is 1€ per play and that barely covers the costs of running the station, but we dont do this for the money, we do it because we love what we do and as we are still growing, we must be getting something right.
I take on board your comments, but somehow i dont think you will take any notice of anything ive said in return.
To end we are a community radio station, in the community for the community by community members

Can't suggest anything for your dislike of the radio station apart from there's a shop in Rojales who may be able to fix your radio tuner.
