LA MARINA BOWLS CLUB

Saturday 8th La Marina welcomed the Scottish Invergowie Touring side, and what a very friendly side they were, The bowls was played in a wonderful spirit of friendship, La Marina won all 6 Rinks but that did not matter, We look forward to welcoming them again next time they are in Spain.

Friday Morning the long awaited start to the Southern League Winter Bowls season with 2 Teams now in Division A and 1 in Division B

Well it started with a Biggy in the A Division with La Marina Sharks playing La Marina Dolphins, The Sharks showed why they are such a formidable side winning 4 Rinks to 2,

SHARKS, Ron Maiden, Peter Parsons, Skip Alan Castle Won 20-12. Hillary Cronk, Tom Spencer, Skip Roy Hart Won 20-19. Janet Parsons, Alex Whyte, Skip Fred Norris Won 29-8. Andy Bartlett, Bernie Carr, Skip Graham Norris Won 18-11.

DOLPHINS, Reg Jackson, Cliff Rawlinson, Skip Bill Jones Won 16-14. Sheila Kirby, John Norman, Skip Bill Jamieson Won 20-16.

Friday Afternoon in Division B La Marina Seagulls played La Siesta Kingfishers at La Marina Losing 4 Rinks to 2.
