lucky you. We live on Oasis and the council decided to dig up the roads to install drains. They haven't restored them
and the roads leading down to Villas Palmeral (where we are) are virtual dirt tracks. The poor people living on those roads have to live with the problem of dirt and dust from all of the cars coming down here. White lines would be good but these people need roads with a surface

Yes I completely agree with you mazza, but we also waited many many years to get the canal road re-done. After it rained the pot holes were absolutely terrible to try and avoid when driving down the old road, and if you met a car coming in the other direction you just had to drive in to the hole - hence the possibility of ruining your tyres. Anyway it has now finally happened and I'm sure all who drive down there are now very pleased. I also hope the Oasis roads are completed in the near future as sometimes I also have to drive that way.

It was like the road to Dolores, the first time we went down there with the estate agent to go and sign for our property I thought "Oh my god what have we let ourselves in for" but, now there is a lovely road there, even better than the one off the urb. So everything comes to he who waits. I hope it wont be long. Go and see somebody about it, you never know they may listen to you. But, if you do'nt try, you do'nt know.

All that needs to be done now is to sort out the bridge and roundabout as these are still in a dangerous state.
Does JW know if anything is planned to straighten out the link between the lower road and the new exit road.

Hi, talking about 'oasis' and I am going completely off the subject of the roads now! I might be moving to that area in November but would like to know how far it is in walking distance to the bars and shops etc etc.

if you want to live on Oasis I would recommend you have a car but it you want a night out it's probably about 15 minutes to walk in. It's a bit out of town but that's why we enjoy it so much. We're in villas palmeral. I'm very biased and think they are the nicest houses in the area. I think a lot of people bought for investment so we're not over populated as a lot of people live in UK. We've been here nearly 4 years and we think it's God's own country. Being honest, if we couldn't have a car we'd find it hard, but we're old beggars xxx

Hi Mazza, thats the place I am looking at! I dont mind the walk just thinking of my mum and dad thats all, as long as its not all too hilly.....is that to supermarkets? etc. do you know if there is a bus service that goes past, for the schools and shops?
