Earlier this week I shopped at an outlet offering discount for bulk buys. Later looking at my receipt I noticed one of my bulk buys was not discounted. Two days later I returned to the shop with my receipt to politely point this out. First, I was asked if I had bought the goods back and secondly was I sure I had not mixed up the items on my bulk buy, even though it stated the goods I had bought, on the receipt. Feeling a little stupid now I said if they did not believe me forget it. They then decided to give me my money back. I know it was only 1.14 but it was the principle. I know we can all make mistakes but a simple I'm sorry would have been nice, or am I expecting too much?

Know how you feel Eve,I once told a Spanish shop assistant,that he had given me Ten Euros too much change,apart from making me feel like i was robbing him,he checked everything again and then begrudgingly grabbed the ten euro note back from my hand,i am hoping one day he may thank me.Since then I have been given too much change on two occasions,each time I did the right thing and put it in my pocket.

This was a british shop Alan, but I know how you feel, customer service has flown out of the window. What these people need to realise is that we the public pay their wages and we can shop where we chose, we do not owe any of them a living. Unfortunately it is not only the shops that have attitude problems, some of the bars and restuarants are the same.
