What ever your view on the speed limit is do you know that almost 2000 people are killed on the Spanish roads every year and it is a fact that speed kills. My view for what it is worth is that 30kph is a little to slow. I live on Calle Luis De Gongora and the speeds people drive at are quite often in excess of 70 kph so for me I would like to see the police with the speed guns fining as many people as they can before somebody is killed.

Yes speed kills, but it is a fact that the very slow drivers cause accidents because we get frustrated driving slow behind one of these drivers and have to overtake. Hence an accident caused by a slow driver.

30 KPH is slow, it's only 20 MPH and on my street it's 20 KPH, which is 12 MPH.
I'd like to see the statistics for La Marina regarding fatalities. I've lived here for 10 yrs and I can't recall hearing about anyone getting killed in a road traffic accident.. I suppose these limits will help keep these statistics.

The 30 KPH has only just been introduced on Urb. Marina, it used to be 50KPH, and I haven't heard of any fatalities on this estate in the 23 years I have lived here. So what is the use of 30 KPH limit, nobody takes any notice of it anyway.

To make things as clear as mud, drive through your San Fulgencio village, looks to me like two different sets of rules.

Try the "ghost town" La Escuera....stencilled on the road is 30 but on the street signs it states 40 ! which one do we stick to ?

The sign posts are legal.....the rest, just ornamental or council graffiti -- Better add... I would assume

Quite agree took my grandson to school today at San fulgencio... Hey ho 100 yards from primary school a sign which says 50 km ...

How come there is a 50 kms speed limit in San fulgencio outside a school, when on the urb it's 30 kms on C Londres is it them and us situation.

it's a wonder only 2000 are killed on the Spanish roads, why do the Spanish drive nearly touching the car in front, overtake when there is no room to overtake, haven't got the sense to just sit in a queue of traffic and wait, when you get 2 Spanish off duty police officers and their 2 children killed when crashing head on into a lorry, says it all.
