hi im new to this site and wondered if anyone could help me with areas to move into with my family (2 children aged 2 and 3) we are planning to move out for 6 months to start and are looking for a house/villa with a private pool (for the kids) Also my partner is wondering how hard it is to find a job out there? he is a qualified electrician.

Unfortunately the employment situation is Spain is pretty dire. There is more unemployment here than in the UK. I would only suggest moving to Spain if you already have a job in place.

We have a lot of savings if he couldnt find a job its just if there was a possibility.

I live south of Alicante. It's is cheaper to live here than the north. Rental properties and properties to purchase are more costly North of Alicante. If you have enough savings to keep you going say for six months then try it and see. Your partner may be lucky and find work. My partner works abroad and in between contracts comes back to Spain but even so there have been odd occasions when we thought we may have to go back to the UK. It's been hard but the rewards are tremendous. There are quite a lot of retired people living in La Marina but also families with children. We have made many dear friends and the lifestyle is amazing. Good luck
Your really going to have to work for yourself over here. National insurance contributions are prohibitive though.
