Cagney's B&B Draw Your Own Conclusions!!!!!

It has been drawn to our attention today about a posting on Trip Advisor about Cagney's B&B. It is a posting made by 'friends' of Sam and Montys who were booked in at the last minute at the end of June at our B&B for one week. The comments are derogatory and unfounded and complete news to us! We did accommodate a couple who were collected from the airport by Sam and Monty. Unfortunately, unbeknown to us Monty had promised them 5 star hotel accommodation. Apparently I was supposed to make their beds every day, clean their room, change their sheets and towels and turn their beds down daily. Their aircon didn"t work, except that we dont have aircon in the rooms! They expected clean towels and bedding on a daily basis, an iron and board and flower petals scatterd around the room!!! Funny !We have also learnt this week that Monty's agenda is that if he's going down then he's taking Cagneys with him. Then yesterday he threatened to 'smash Ricky's f''' face in!! We are reasonable people but object to threats like this.
All we ask is that you have stayed in our rooms and been happy then rate us correctly on Trip advisor. If you are regular customers and have enjoyed what we have put on at Cagneys then again rate us fairly. If you have enjoyed our food then let us know.
Rick, Deano and I work long and hard hours at Cagneys and we refuse to be trounced by people who are under the influence on a daily basis.

Had my baguettes and bacon and egg sandwiches and food from there both Ricky and Kate cook good good food especially the old style chips.

Looks like where ever monty goes,...he is reaking havoc!!!. If this is the way he behaves around other people no wonder his bar is losing it's custom and gives more reason to back the claims made on a previous post on this forum.
Cagney's has always offered very reasonable accommodation for the very reasonable rate they charge,...No it is not the Ritz,..but it is never advertised in that manner! Great food, great staff, affordable accommodation for people on a budget,..what more could you ask for???.

I only come to La Marina once a year and really look forward to it,....but this time all I have heard is "monty and sam this" "monty and sam that"
I would say if he continues with threats of violence, then get the police involved,..infact inform them of the threats he has made already!! as if the bloke isn't in enough trouble already (regarding breaking the restraining order, his own good lady took out on him) from what I have been told first hand by people who have been affected by this man.......HEY MONTY!!!!.....DO YOU NEED A BIGGER SHOVEL?.......WE CAN STILL SEE YOU!!!

Personally you should contact Trip Advisor and put your case forward to have the comment removed.
As you clearly do not provide such services and certainly don't have air conditioning in your rooms.
And also the clients that stayed never brought it to your attention! Therefore there comments are clearly misleading
and unsure of the person's attention's to your business.

Cagneys you can respond to the review on Trip Advisor. I believe you just have to register as the proprietor on the site. X

Its me laugh how they say the power kept tripping in the middle of the night and had to get up and reset it...... didn't know their sleep was linked to the power supply.

I don't know what you charge but unless people are paying for 5 * service why would they expect it. If it was as good as they were led to believe we'd be with you permanently. xxxMary Catherine

Cagney's and anyone else for that matter should not have to put up with this. Looks like people are getting the "Full Monty" experience along with his partner. I ask Rojos do you still back "The Monty" or has this changed your mind or views of them still it could be all lies gossip etc!!

PS Cagney's don't let this "Monty" shit affect you, it just shows what a "A" hole he they are

My two nieces stayed at Cagneys last year and have just asked me to book them in again. They were very satisfied with what they got and what they paid. The trouble is people always expect more than what they are prepared to pay for. I have stayed in a couple of 3 star Hotels in England and the facilities and the food has been rubbish. Some people do not appreciate it when they get a good deal. You will not get any better food than you get at Cagneys.

We would like to thank everyone for their kind comments regarding Cagney's B&B and bar. We weren't digging for compliments we just asked that if you have stayed in our B&B or have used our bar then please rate us fairly on Trip Advisor. Following the advice of a few of you we have contacted Trip Advisor who have removed the posting from the site, so thank you to you all for your help.

As you know it is easy to use this site and write rubish about any places without even been there. These very jealous people would do anything to ruin others life because theirs is falling apart ....they are a typical example of how ignorant and malicious some people can be, keep smiling Kate you know you and Ricky are better than that :)

I agree totally! You are both excellent hosts and your food is great and very reasonable too. First place I always take visitors to is Cagneys!!
