Music and Bars

1 Was the music loud
2 Did it break the "new guide lines"
3 If it was another bar then they are total bankers
4Thought this was already sorted with "new gude lines"
5 LETS have an end to all the back biting and try to make the area welcoming again.

I was unaware that the police had to give a name of the accuser,jn the new guidelines.
What it did say w that the police would go to the accusers property first to make sure a nuisance was being committed.
So it shouldn't be hard to find out if Bob Bar complained,just ask anybody in Bobs Bar just beforehand,if they saw police stop near bobs bar just previous to the incident.If no,then the police acted outside the guidelines,or someone else complained.Dont crucify the bar just because "English people looked in the direction of the Bar.Of course the noise may of been excessive,in which case blame the correct bar,for putting the new guidelines in jeopardy.

Here is the funny thing,last Wednesday they had entertainment untill 11:30pm. They were jammed pack outside and people getting take aways inside. so they have entetainment a week later and what do you know the police turn up. This isnt about the bars or paperwork, there were holiday makers there and if you come to La marina and go out for entertainment and a bite to eat and end up having you night cut short because the police are called, then would you come back to La Marina, what impressionm does that make on La Marina. As for Bobs bar i think you will find talk of them doing this in the past 4-5 weeks to another one or two bars.
Music was at a decent level yes it was outside but just like last Wednesday. only this time the police turned up. As far as anyone could tell no paperwork was handed over from the reportee

I blame the poor quality PUB type entertainers and poor acoustic amp systems
the restaurants have. These acts turn up the volume so load to drowned out just how bad they are.

Just how can you get a two/three course basic meal and entertainment for 12.00 Euros
Just start getting better quality acts and charge more. They just simply need to change for the better

Was Bobs bar affected by the the music ? and are they really a grass, so come on Bobs bar or anyone that knows them let them know about this and then DEFEND themselves if this is UN true.

I Have certainly had my day affected by Bobs bar, on any number of occasions over the recent years, I have been in another bar on Phase IV and had their "Sunday singsong" intrude upon my day. Karaoke is pretty bad but 20+ people trying to sing the same (sea shanty, old east end rubbish or whatever) is horrid ! However Pizza @ Hugo's is great, stop being a bunch of arses and accept that there are others in the world who may not share your (broad minded) opinions and are allowed to take money on your patch.

While I agree one bar should not grass up another, I think everyone is missing the point. The police turned up and would only have told them to stop if the music was outside the guidelines, if it was then whos fault is it, To me its like someone being grassed up for drink driving you shouldnt blame the person for grassing you, you should blame yourself for driving drunk.

On a side not, it would be interesting to see why and how Hugo Pizza is using the HUGO troll in their logo.
As far as I know, the Hugo Troll is a protected trade mark and a copyrighted figure - just like Donald Duck,
Mickey Mouse, and any other character. It sounds rather strange that a small pizza place in La Marina, Spain
could afford paying such high fees for the right to use the name of a famous troll like that in their marketing...
... A bird told me that the danish company that sits on the rights for the HUGO Troll have been called, and that
they have initiated legal process to stop them using the name and logo of the HUGO TROLL name and design.

Why should anyone ask Bobs Bar .Dont let reality get in the way of a good rumour to spread.
I do have a better rumour to spread,it wouldn't be true of course,so I will keep it quiet,until I think up a better one.

Does anyone know why our good friend MARKO from Quesada comments on events here in La Marina?
Are events in Quesada so boring that he needs to comment on matters that cannot possibly effect him here in the Urb.

Just maybe he uses some local bars or are we banning outsiders now.

Alan, I've worked out what your rumor is...... It was Bobs Bar that informed the Danish company that Hugo's Pizza was using their name and logo..... By the way their comments seem to have disappeared. The Spanish judicial system can't work that fast can it?

Alan, the fact that last week Friendly?viking mentioned her husband, doesn't mean she? Is female, but the venom in most of her? Posts does imply she or he is very bitter and in need of counselling. I have had my run ins with this person before and is one of the reasons I stopped posting.

Sorry you are wrong.I was thinking along the lines that Hugos reported themselves to the Police,the police come and turn off the music,they then get a rumour started that Bobs bar reported them, Bobs Bar doesn't read this Forum,therefore doesn't know he is involved,Until all his regulars start going to Hugos. Hugos Bar fills up every night with sympathisers,Bobs bar has to close down due to lack of Customers.
I will say that my comment is entirely made up and came to me in a dream.There is entirely no thought that this sort of thing would happen on La Marina Urb.So really if you comment on my comment please make it a cheerful happy clappy comment

I did realize when I wrote about Friendly being a Woman,I did put the words "odds are" which means more chance of her being a woman than anything else.I was trying to be policitally correct,didnt want to upset anyone.
I do sometimes agree with friendly,but sometimes she is vitriolic,I have wondered if the letter ´´r´´ crept in by mistake.

ANdi that was Woodstock The police were outside my bar I don't know why, for nearly an hour the she came down to me came in bar making stupid shhh signs. Obviously had to many but more or less accusing me of phoning them. .... Wrong. Not me look elsewhere

Oh my goodness you really are a sad person if 2.58 minutes on a Sunday upsets you lol lol lol but pleases my 20 odd customers so the answer to that is TOUGH. Oh give me a wave and I will put the sound up for you so you can sing along next week .......
