Before the rumours start the El Matador Restaurant in La Marina is not closing down. It is closing from the 18th February to the 28th February for refurbishment and will re-open for business on the 1st of March.
Could you possibly tell me if you are having entertainment on a Friday evening when you re-open? I was told you had stopped this, but then I heard it was back on again. I would appreciate knowing from El Matador personally. If so, is it still Bella Luna please?

Why is it that when recommending the best restaurants on the urb nobody mentioned El Matador ?
Matador do lovely food and a very good menu of the evening. They do not have entertainment anymore.
I gather the current owner is moving back to England and the restaurant will re-open with new management.
Have I understood correctly?
Perhaps there will be music?
I thought the owner is on holiday and having the refit done while they are away
To clarify the situation at El Matodor and let everybody know what is happening the restaurant has not been sold,Mark is going back to England and there is a new person running it.The Chef is still the same but we have had a refit,change of menu and it will look like a new restaurant when we hope to re-open on the 28th of Februrary.As regards to music there plans to have live entertainment but this will be in the near future and not sure if it will be Bella Luna or another group.This will be a new era for El Matador with a new direction and a fresh new look.The quality of the food and service will remain so we hope to see you all there.
