Most people seem to use the one up in the services section.

Myra,
The people at Satellite Roundabout, everyone knows where that is, supply a cable based package -unlimited Internet, approx 100 programmes inc. TV and Radio and a house phone with unlimited free landline calls to Europe. All for about 37 Euros a month.

Undoubtably the one on the satellite roundabout is the place to go to,I have heard of so many people who have changed to them and not one person I know has anything bur good to say about this company

We use Ole next to Supervalue......half the price of the other one. No complaints

ASL Member Founding Member 2013-01-18

Ill back Maz up on that. Ole are a lottery efficient and have a proper customer service line you can contact from 9am everyday. If I'm still correct the satellite roundabout do not open there office until afternoon time and its hard to contact them for problems. A big thing with ole is there Internet speed is so much better that tele cable.

They are BOTH the same company under different names to capture the expensive and cheap market!

ASL Member Founding Member 2013-01-18

So please tell me which one is the expensive one and which one is the cheap one please?

ASL Member Founding Member 2013-01-19

Myra

We use Internet with ole and and direct debited โ‚ฌ11 euros a month. That will go upto โ‚ฌ15 in April as been with them a year then. As for TV not to sure have a dish.

ASL Member Founding Member 2013-01-19

Ole is the cheap version, probably a little slower.
But that is how they can justify charging more with the other service. Depends what you want.

Myra,
I think you may be getting confused with these fringe suppliers, albeit expensive?
As best I know Telecable, The Satellite Roundabout, are the only ones delivering a complete system of TV, Radio, Internet, Free landline to Europe for a package price of 37 Euros/Month.

Just be aware that these systems using Wimax, antennas etc are not very secure.
DO NOT use them for banking.
A third party using the right equipment can intercept your signal & view your data stream.

ASL Member Founding Member 2013-01-19

So is there a secure option?

ASL Member Founding Member 2013-01-19

Is anything secure? If the white house can get hacked and Nato has also the same, dont worry about your internet! I dont think your intenet is that inportant to hackers......is it?
Bottom line is your credit card details get stolen,
you call your bank and have them reverse charges. Banks are responsible for that nowadays, if nothing else. Choose the package that is right for you. Ultra fast, or sufficient and cheap? Otherwise NOTHING is this world is 100% secure, and life is too sort to worry about the security of internet. Even BT cannot guarantee security, so go for it!

ASL Member Founding Member 2013-01-20

Myra,
Security! Life is full of risk, I have used the Satellite Roundabout for many years and have never, ever heard of any security incident. I have had internet banking with both England and Norway for about 7 years without any problems at all.
Obviously being careful can be recommended but do not worry Myra.

Another question please. Undecided wether to go with Telecable or torresat for my TV/phone/Internet bundle so which company has the cheapest installation costs?

ASL Member Founding Member 2013-02-07

Torresat has the worst service by a mile! getting themselves a real bad reputation. Teletec advertise on the radio, they are English and claim they are the best??? Keep away from Torresat even if they instal it for free, which what I heard they are trying to do. Also I heard Skynetlink are doing 4 meg for 19.95. They are good! I have them and they do come out service
quickly. The back up service is important!

ASL Member Founding Member 2013-02-07

Myra,
I agree Torresat invented bad service!

ASL Member Founding Member 2013-02-07

We have been with Torresat for 4 years and we have never had any trouble with them. When we lost channels they came and put it right straightway and when I had problems with my internet they came and sorted it.

Thanks guys. Rang Torrestat and they installed TV package within 2 hours. Ole are fitting phone and Internet connection Monday .
