Is honesty the best policy

My Wife and a couple of her Friends decided to go out for a Chinese meal last night.On arrival they were warmly welcomed and shown to a table,The Waitress was delightful,and when everybody was comfortable,she took the drinks order,which included a bottle of wine,to which the waitress replied,"do you want the house wine or do you want a decent bottle?"
Sometimes I wonder if honesty is the best policy

I actually think that was very good of her. Although some people maybe abit surprised by that or find it slightly rude. I think it shows decency and honesty.
That's my opinion on that.

It's like Al fayed or how ever you spell his damn name. He talks about honesty and being straight with fulham fans. My question is he has sold harods for a ridiculous amount and yet still refuses to throw money in for big time players.

Andi I do not know anything about Fulham football club and neither do I want to but I do know that Mr Alfayed is a very caring man, especially with his employees. I have first hand information of this through two of his employees who used to work for him when he took over Eagle Shirt Company in Gloucester. They had nothing but praise for him as a boss.

Maybe so Grant but she's still being honest no matter how you look at it. Maybe she's just being to blunt but that's sometimes the way to be.

Eve I totally agree with you about Al-Fayed being a caring person,I have first hand experience of this.
But as for not wanting to know about Fulham Football Club,I am disapointed,It is a Club well known as being the second favorite club to most football supporters,the friendliest club and the supporters the most liked and least offensive,It also has possibly the prettiest ground and surrounding area of all football clubs.As for the team,I sometimes wish,I wasnt interested in them

Alan I must apologise but I am not a football fan and my husband is a Man United supporter. But if Leapy Lee ever tears strips off Al-Fayed again in the free paper we will stand united and defend him.
