Can you let me know if it is possible to get any money out of a pension as either a lump sum or monthly payments before you reach retirement age.

I am currently exploring my options with my own private pensions and it really is a difficult subject. If you are over 55 you can draw up to 25% of your pot but there are usually conditions attached to this. Be carefull of so called financial advisors who are not always interested in what is best for you but want to sell you products to earn them commission. Even though you can draw 25% tax free, I am lead to believe if you are registered for tax in Spain you could still be taxed on it.
