Council. What's going on.

I was just wondering if anyone knows what's going on with the council. They are very quiet and it seems like they are trying to hang in the back ground instead of being seen on the urb. I thought that this council was going to try and change things. Why aren't they out on the urb doing the rounds to the local business and seeing if it all ok and do they have any suggestions. I've spoke to a lot of people not a few but a lot who now are saying they wanted to be voted in so there in now start doing things. Make it known to the public what the council have done what they have changed. Will it be the same old thing 9 months before elections you will all be on the streets promising this and that and making some noise about how you want to change things. Hello you got 3 and half years left. Surely it's about time you start canvassing the urb talking to people who voted you all in and talking to them.

Andi, well said, we have councillor Wizsniewski and his five assistants. I too would like to know what they are doing every day to make things better for us living in the urbanisations.

Ye of little faith, they could be organising:-
Cleaning the urp up
Repairing the roads & pavements
Cleaning & planting the green area's
Policing the urb
Making sure all the Bars have the correct paperwork/licences
Checking that all the street lamps are working.
Loads of things they could be doing.

Then again ?????

Yes, very good but does the road work include the roads down to Oasis?. I pity the people who live on these roads. The muck that comes off them when driving up them must be going in peoples houses. It wouldn't make me leave the area though, I love it here.
Going to the rock n roll show in the sports centre on 7th FEb and the King and country on 20th. We've been to most of the shows there and the atmosphere is great with plenty of people up dancing. When you buy your ticket they allocate your table and the serving staff keep a good record of your tab. If you haven't been there give it a try x

Hi Mazza,I agree with you about the roads on Oasis,they are a disgrace,I was led to believe the Council had to fix them,But of course our current Mayor seemed to have an opinion,which he stated when the refuse people were on strike,that the debt was the old councils responsibility and not his,I bet he would use the same opinion now to welsh on his responsibilities,with the residents on Oasis.
Perhaps may see you on the7th feb I have my tickets for the rock and roll night.but may not be here for the King and country on the 20th,
