Is this meant to be a match report? Not very good is it.

As you are the person who advertises the fact that it is great entertainment why not explain to those who are unable to be there why it was a good game! Or is that not part of your remit?
What is the crack about asking a husband to explain the difference. Not everyone has a husband or wife to discuss things with.

Are you anything to do with San fulgensio football or are you just pointing out that the local football team won a game?

ASL Member Founding Member 2012-08-24

Wow,The match may of been a Friendly, but the after match diatribe, definitely doesnt seem friendly

ASL Member Founding Member 2012-08-24

5-1 was a result. "Great entertainment" is a report!
If you were not there how can you say that is was great entertainment?

ASL Member Founding Member 2012-08-25

Do we have trouble at mill.
The local football team won 5-1 away in a friendly,Surely we should be supporting our team, and not picking holes in what a report or a result mean .
Whatever you think of the team,at least admit all of you that it was a great result.

ASL Member Founding Member 2012-08-25

Yes 1-5 is a result,
"Great entertainment is a report........................
as told to Trevor by somebody who WAS at the game, Trevor could not write a match report if he was not at the game, but can inform everybody what great entertainment it was because he was told so by his friend who attended.
Stop the nit picking.
Come and see for yourselves at home or AWAY what a great ENTERTAINING team San Fulgencio are.

Well said Luvmylife!!!

Just to let you know I attended every game last season - both HOME and AWAY. I also attended every training night on Tuesdays. How about you turning up to watch whoever you are. At least I put my real name on every post and only asked for a match report as TW, last season, started to write a report. Why is it wrong to ask for a report especially for the people who support the team but were unable to get there. If some one said it was 'great entertainment' why could they not 'ghost' a report?
As for Alan as these games are only friendlies the score is not important. It is for the managers to have a run out for all the teams including substitutes.
If the football team is that important to all those who criticise why don't you turn up instead of crying from the sidelines?
From a proper supporter!

Yes Peter,Friendlies are a way for the Manager to try different players in different positions,at different times,But watch the smiles and cocky walks of the playeres who have just won a friendly 5-1,and the dropped heads and slouches of the the losing team, and you realise even a friendly is important to the players.

Sorry Alan but you are in the wrong. The Saints lost yesterday but there were no dropping of heads. They were playing a team which was two divisions above us last season but the result was a good one. The worst thing was the attendance. I counted about 55 people of whom at least 15 supported the opposition. As usual, although people criticised me for not going in an earlier post, there was not a lot of support there. The bar was not even open so no refreshments available either although it was stated it would be open.
If people wish for a decent football team surely they deserve some support by putting bums on seats and not just by writing on here!
The time of kick off was altered but it was announced on here so late in the day that some supporters were still coming in for the later KO. There is no effective website for the club which is plainly ridiculous for a team in the first regional. This should have been posted on here as soon as it was known. I was advised at dinner time but it did not appear on here until much later. Bad information, too late!

We now get an apology on here for the change in time yesterday but it was posted 13 minutes ago!!! This is from last season's 'match reporter'.

Yesterday's result still has not been updated on the 'official website more than twenty hours later. Must be part time 'volunteers'!

ASL Member Founding Member 2012-08-26

So Alan did you see the faces at El Altet when the Saints won 5-1?

ASL Member Founding Member 2012-08-26

No Peter,I didnt see the faces of either of the two teams,I was making a generealisation,of the way Players normally react to a win or a defeat.
If your next question is do I ever go to watch San Fulgencio play, the answer is no,and it is doubtful that I will in the near future,it is not that I couldnt care, but at the moment,it would not be a sensible option for me,If my option changes in the near future, their is a good chance I may go and cheer them on,What I wont do though is to join in on in fighting as generally this has a bad effect on the players.

The very small number of mischief makers making derogatory comments are doing so the get a reaction from others. Unfortunately contributors are reacting and playing into their hands. Best advice is to totally ignore ill mannered comments. They will soon get bored and go away.

Hi Trevor i have bought property in la marina ,so when i am over would like to see some games . Is there a web site i can go on and directions to find the ground thanks
Mick

ASL Member Founding Member 2012-08-28

Hi Mick,
To get to the ground if you head out of the back of the urbanisation towards San Fulgencio, straight across the roundabout you will come to a white building on the right hand side about 2 hundred metres from the roundabout, that building is the school, first right after the school and first right again which takes you up to the gates of the sports complex, drive in and the ground is to the left, you will be able to see the floodlights. We have a new website which at the moment does not look very much but it is in its infancy and will be improved in the very near future. The website is www.sportingcf.es.
