One of the main problems encountered when visiting Altea is a parking space, but now the Town Hall has unveiled an ingenious plan. For six Euros an officially identified attendant will take a car to one of the approved sites in the Old Town, and the visitor will fill out a form and place a call to the attendant when the car is required again. In the meantime, the car will remain in a locked and guarded area, and in this way it is hoped to overcome traffic as well as parking problems in the high season
