Today at young pupp ( possible a terrier ) was dumped and tied up on its lead on the stairs to the Impact Charity Shop by the Grey Area. Luckily there was quite a few people in the shop at the time and a customer has fostered it for us until we re- home it permanently.
Also would like to say Thank you to Mark Lewis, who was driving by at the time and was stopped, for taking pictures for us and with his help, Pets In Spain, giving it the best chance to find a permanent home.
It will be booked in at the local San Antons for it check up, blood tests, vaccinations and when old enough castrated and chipped
The dog was tied up by two morrcans as they were seen doing it then got in there van and drove off

At least they stopped and tied it up and didn't just throw it out whilst driving along.

What a cute little fellow. I don't know how anyone could abandon any animal especially a puppy.

Hi Mark I am on the look out for a small dog, preferably around 2 - 3 years old, so it has lost its giddiness
As you know I am living on limited funds, and do own two adult cats.
So if you get anything in that would suit my purpose preferably all innoculated and spayed and stuff I would be happy to come and meet the animal.

This afternoon we have re- homed Ernie with a lady on the Urb. She fell in love with him instantly and Ernie took to her straight away.
Impact Charity needs to say a big thank you to Pets In Spain for advertising Ernie and helping us re-home him very quickly. I think that the YouTube video of Erine (over 270 views) and putting him on facebook helped so much. Thanks does go to Yvvone and Mark for dealing with all this and arranging for people to see Ernie who took a interest.
I would like to stray from that for one moment. Over the past couple of years more animal charities have emerged on the Urb. That can only be a good thing for the animals who need help.
All charities are finding it hard or harder with what is taking place within the economy now.
All local animal charities should be helping each other or trying to assist each other, it's not a war or a ego boost, were all trying to do the same thing. Some charities maybe better equipped than others but ultimately it's about getting these animals re-homed and looked after.
From last Friday till this up coming Tuesday Impact Charity will have paid out just under โ‚ฌ1.600 euros, these are vet bills, bills for the shop and donations and taxes.
We will use any means we have to to re-home a animal and if that means asking another charity for help so be it.
Tonight Ernie is spending his first night in his new home thanks to Pets In Spain. I would also like to point out Pets in Spain are now a registered Charity.
