noise (will Jeff respond please)

For your information,about nine months ago,the forum was in discussion regarding sound from bars and restaurants,Jeff replied that he was going to have words with the Local Police about this
That i think would tell you that Jeff and the councillors wouldnt be visiting the bars but if anybody was it would be the police.I believe also that it was said that the noise level outside of the bars etc.should be less than 90decibels.
Perhaps you and the others who have just appeared on this forum complaining about the noise,didnt know of this forum until recently,but i dont remember any of your names appearing when this same subject appeared last year

I can confirm the policia local was seen patrolling on foot in the consum 2 area at approx 11pm last night. As far as Illegal bars, I'm not aware of any ?? My invitation to discuss any issues regarding noise Specifically from our bar is open to everyone.

I am getting a bit fed up of this thread I appreciate some of you bought property before any of these new bars opened. However I would say this new or old the bars are what keeps La Marina alive and sadly it would seem some would like to turn the urbanisation into ghost town, I fully appreciate how annoying it can be to have to live with noise its comes in more way than bars. The people coming out of them need to show a bit more respect, you have noise of other neighbours with dogs, banging about in the house in the middle of the night all inconsiderate in their own way. So please lay of the bars have a look around in my opinion most of the bars do their level best to keep the neighbours happy can you say the same?

I for one am fed up with all this about the bars, what are people meant to do, the bars do enough to stop the noise getting too loud, I for one know that the Hogs Head are very concerned about the noise levels, and Paul is always outside to make sure it is not too noisy, and it appears he gets blamed for noise coming from other bars in the area. I agree with weejohnten some of the people on here want La Marina to be a ghost town, and then watch property prices plummet even further.

Why I wonder do English people who really don't like any noise come to live in Spain...on an urbanization in any case...it amazes me everytime I hear the people complaining about levels of noise...news is that from what I have seen of La Marina for some long time is that it is dead after 9pm most evenings. La Marina used to be a fun place to live a few years ago before people were constantly moaning about the bars and the entertainment...surely we want the area to prosper again and to offer people good facilities and good entertainment to attract them here

Unfortunately Jane you are on a Urbanisation where people actually live, and not party town Benidorm in which the law is entirely different
regarding noise.
Seems a hard one being the Bars are mainly glass fronted and also seems bad planning has houses are very close to the Bars.

But in saying that it does seem its only the English that moan about oh it will be the end of the Urbanisation, but I don't hear the same negativity with other European communities on the Urb.

Maybe best to open a few late night bars/night clubs on the outer edge of the Urb and shorten the overly late night time openings for the bars near by residential areas.

yes I know Grant..this is an ubernisation where people live..but didn't most people choose to live here because they wanted tne Spanish way of life rather than what they had in England or UK whatever...I know I did...I loved Spain because it always seemed so alive..now for goodness sake we are living in gods waiting room purely because the people here complain endlessly about noise..and I for one am very sad about that..

If you lived in a majority Spanish community you would have more to complain about. We moved from Almoradi back to La Marina because we could not stand all the noise from the perpetual letting off of fireworks and the fiestas. Music going on all night , from all directions, for two weeks at a time in the summer. That you would call noise.

Looking at the comments on the noise question,and from
remarks people have made to me.
The result is a resounding success for the "we want la Marina to be a nice place to live brigade"and long may it be so,The VERY FEW who want it changed to a grave yard,have well and truly lost.
So lets all call it a day,It seems the vast majority want bars and restaurants left alone,except the one or two liberty takers.

Skywalker you do not mention if you have a business on the Urb. If you have, or depend on the general public to help pay your wages, stop and think, if you want La Marina to be a ghost town, then be careful what you wish for. It may ultimately affect you making a living.

I have not been receiving my notifications when someone has posted a comment on what I have commented on. I have just opened my inbox and I have 21 in there, nearly all of them moaning & groaning. Probably the same people that haunt the doctors surgery week in week out. its about time some of you got a life and found something to do in your spare time apart from moan & groan. I suggest you all start up a club and meet at the far end of La marina beach and compare moans!!!!!!!!!!!! Thus giving us all a bit of peace.

Come on Eve be fair,why do the moaners have to go to the far end of La Marina beach,you will get them all moaning that,that is where the nudists hang out(pun) isnt it

It sounds as if a lot of moaners would like to live in the "DEAD CENTRE" of La marina.
