It does depend where you are renting, but the are lots of bars, resturants, shops etc.

We have found that all the bars and resturants are child friendly.

It depends on where your staying as to how far it is from bars and resturants. But there are several to choose from. I would say its quite a good idea to hire a car while your here unless you dont mind walking ( some area's are VERY hilly!) La Marina beach is lovely ( and free!) but not walking distance for many people. There aren't a great deal of shops here, but plenty of supermarkets and a local street market. There is a local bus service to take you to other towns where there are more shops, for example Guardamar or Torrevieja. Also coach companies that do trips at very reasonable prices to Benidorm and other places.
Locally in the evenings you will always be able to find a bar doing Karaoke, quiz nights, bingo etc.
All the resturants here are child friendly and most of the bars as well.

What area of La Marina Urbanisation are you staying in. The Urb covers a large area and if you are walking it will have a bearing on where you find entertainment. As far as I know all the bars are children friendly. The most popular venue for family evening entertainment is the Sports Complex and they have entertainment every Friday and Saturday during the better weather and possibly sundays. Fridays and Sundays there are English entertainers and Saturdays its Spanish. Hope this helps.

just agreeing with nikki from aj's bar that it is easier if you have transport, beautiful beach here and there are a couple of water parks to keep the kids happy. we are a local CORNISH PRIDE downstairs from consum supermarket, we offer pies-pasties-fresh bread-ready made meals-cooked chickens filled baguets-cakes-and if a family member has a birthday we also do birthday cakes.

Do you mean "La Marina Village", Elche Nr Guadarma, or the urbanisation of La Marina, San Fulgencio? It can get confusing when people mention La Marina.

It is well worth a visit to "La Marina Village" if indeed you have chosen the Urb as we have a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants etc, especially "Malika's Bar/Cafeteria" which specialises in Moroccan tapas dishes and other foods which are the beez and eez.

Loads of bars, restaurants, shops etc. beach is 7 mins by car, we also have a large pool complex which all the family can use all day for a small fee.
It's probably better if you have a car. If you give me a ring or email I can give you info about transport.
