Electricity bills

Go and see Sam at Jeff's office on Calle Madrid she has days and times you can go and see someone at the Social Centre, take your electricity bill with you.

Jeff is our Local councillor and his Office is 5 Calle Madrid, which is the road adjacent to SuperValue at the top of the Urb. Next to the SAT Charity Shop.

I had the same problem with my electricity, my bills were horrendous and im non resident.

Iberdrola were very helpful and through a process of elimination, doing as they told me week on week ie turning of electricity to the villa and leaving it off for a week at a time. We eventually discovered the pool was eating the juice. The house was eating hardly any electricty.

Weve had the automatic timers on the pool cut right down to a bear minimum so as to remain functional but no more than that.

Had iberdrola not been able to identify the problem after the process of elimination, they would have the sent out an engineer to change the meter and any overpayment would have been given back to me.

To be honest we were convinced there was an illegal feed being taken from our villa as the meter was whizzing around

Maybe a word of caution to villa owners with pools who automate the system for long periods ! Dont get me wrong we knew our pool maintenance was largeley automated by our pool guy but had no idea at what cost on top of the monthly pool fees
