Impact Charities Fiesta Raffle.

Impact Charity along with all other local charities have been invited to have a stall on Sunday 5th August at the summer fiesta. We will be holding a raffle and tombola on the day.
Raffle tickets will be available to buy on the run up to the fiesta from Impact Charity shop as of, Monday 23rd July. If you cannot make it I the shop to buy a ticket or two they will be on sale on the day that we are at the fiesta with the stall. The price of the tickets are, €1 Euro for a strip of 5.
The draw will be held at 9pm on the stall. If the prizes are not claimed at the stall we will put the winning numbers in the shop window and post them on the forum.
The prizes are.

1st prize - Drinks hamper.

2nd prize - A meal for two up to the value of €30 Euros at the Hogs Head. ( €30 euro voucher must be used within one month of raffle draw).

3rd prize - A €20 Euro meat voucher to spend at the English butchers. (In the Grey area).

These are some great prizes to walk away with for just €1 Euro.
It was a great success last year when we had a stall and held the raffle at the fiesta.

That's good to hear Carol.

Along with the raffle we are holding, we will be doing a tombola that will consist of cash prizes of up €25 euros. You could be the lucky one and walk away with €10 euros or not so lucky and walk away with 20 cents.
The tombola tickets will cost 50 cents each or 3 tickes for €1 euro.
I hope everyone visits all the charity stalls at the fiesta and hopefully spends a few euros on the stalls.

What does Impact Charity support? The name doesn't give much of a clue!

Impact Charity was set up in 2007 to help young people, are constitution allows to help people and animals.
In 2008 a new committee was installed and this committee was made up of members from K9,PAWS and Finca Lucendum. It was then decided by this committee to change the charities name to La Marina Animal Welfare. The shop made donations to K9,PAWS and Finca Lucendum. The donations to K9 stopped once there shop was opened. In 2011 a new committee was installed and all paperwork was handed over to a new solicitor and accountant. It was then brought to our attention that La Marina Animal welfare had not been legally registered, by that I mean the name. As well as changing the name in 2008 the committee decided to concentrate fully on animals and left the young people side out of the charity. We now go by our original name of Impact Charity. To date Impact Charity have made donations of over €44,000 euros.
The members of Impact Charity propose who donations will be made to through the year, they are then voted on at the AGM. For 2012 EMAUS children's he Elche, PAWS and Finca Lucendum recieve donations. What they recieve is down to the committee and also revolves around what income may come through the shop. Impact Charity is a charity in its own right. It is not responsible for how PAWS and Finca Lucendum or EMAUS run there groups/charity. We now also make donations to Caritas in San Fulgencio.
