Hello everyone,
What a great site,a lot of positive pro-active people working for the good of all.
My husband and i and 3 children are visiting La Marina very soon, we are flying on 29th May for 8 days, please can anyone tell me, are there any plans to celebrate the Jubilee or other events?
Also as it will be my hubbys birthday, can anyone recommend a bakery or other service to buy a cake?
Most people on here seem to embrace the beauty of the area where you live, i dont blame you, keep up the good work.
Kind regards Patricia

The Council have laid on a Jubilee party to take place on the Strip around where Supa Valu is. I think entertainment is being laid on and perhaps a giant screen to watch the Queen on the Barge going along the Thames,People are being ask to dress up in something British from the past or present. A few other things happening as well i believe.Best to pop in to the Tourist Office when you arrive,to see what information they have.Hope you all enjoy your stay

Hi Patricia, we have organised a fun day for June 2nd (starting at 3.00 pm) behind AJ'S bar (located at the Grey Area, Calle Madrid). There are a variety of acts performing from 3.30 pm until 9.00 pm (approx). There will also be a selection of stalls selling various items, a raffle, tombola etc. There will also be food hot food (burgers, hot dogs etc) on sale. It should be a great day and we would love to see you there. Further details are on my earlier posting,.

p.s. on the day that you arrive, Tony Lincoln (one of the areas most popular artists) is singing in The Hogs Head (Consum Square area) from 9.00 pm. You should try to come along to that as well as he is a great entertainer.
