Nuisance Noise

Do not be afraid to call the local police on matters regarding excessive noise from neighbours. If it continues, denounce them to the Guardia Civil.

But Iwould make that a last resort.

My opinion for what it is worth,is firstly try to find out if these people are holiday makers or not.If they are find out who the agent is who is letting it for the owners,and send them a written letter telling them what is happening and for them to sort out with immediate affect.If it is being let out by the owner,try to find where he lives and let him know what is happening if both these fail,then go to the local police to report it,preferably with the backing of a few neighbours,If this doesnt work then a denouncia is the last resort.
Always remembering that people can get defensive when asked to do anything that is to do with their premises,and chances are they will accuse you of something or other.
La Marina is normally a very friendly place to live,it is a shame that you are at the blunt end of it as yet.
I am sure your parents will love it out here especially as it does get very quiet in the winter

Thank you for the info and yes Alan I did ask for them to turn it down but this was again at 4 in the morning and carried through to 6 am.

Now i know the procedure I can confront with this knowledge and leave it with them to decide.

But what is the cut off point to be allowed to make noise?

Grant,Perhaps the best thing to do is to have a word with Jeff(he is the local councillor for the Urbs and his office is just off the Strip,it is open weekdays in the morning)He knows how the noise system works,and should be able to help you to try to sort out your problem.I have in the past seen him about the problems that bars have with the police about noise pollution,and at least found out times and noise levels for bars,I do not know if the same levels and times of day apply to private residences.

I dont know the exact address of Jeffs office.but if you enter The Strip from the Forest road go just past supavalu on your right take the next road on the right,I think it is called Calle Madrid.you

I just received an email from our estate agent we bought through and they tell me the owners was renting the property to the persons, and not the owners as once thought.
