I'm very interested in tracing my family tree. I've been on the internet but all these different companies want money (up front) but i'd like to know if anybody out there has any tips on tracing my Family, without involving giving my bank details out. Thanks in advance.
I know Ancestory.co.uk have an offer on - free access to their census records at the moment. I am doing my tree and found it very interesting, but addictive. If you can get hold of marriage certificates they give you quite a bit of info. It will keep you busy in the winter months, especially when you get on a roll and get hits. I have found my fathers lost family scattered all over the world & met some of them & you will be surprised what you find out. Good Luck!
