MORE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

ASL Member Founding Member Mitteilung #17605 Antworten geschlossen

An urgent appeal has gone out from Help at Home Costa Blanca for more volunteers, particularly in the La Marina and Campoverde areas.

Help at Home founder, Norah Bond said: "We have a number of people needing help in these areas, but at present only one volunteer in each.

"As more people get to know what we do, the more calls we get from people for help, which means we need more volunteers."

Help at Home helps for a limited period of time with things like taking people to hospital or the medical centre, help with gardening, shopping, etc., or just sitting in with people who just need company or carers who need support.
There is also a team of people with medical qualifications who help with basic medical needs.

In addition Help at Home is now giving support to people with young children and adults with long-term conditions.
Anyone who can help in any way should call 691 585 167 or contact [email protected]

I cannot comment on the Campoverde area, but there is at least 8 volunteers here in La Marina, we cover the desk at the La Marina Town Hall the first and third Friday each month and do initial home visits to assess relevant needs, there is also volunteer drivers here available to take people registered with HELP to their hospital appointments.
