Change in Law over Long Term Rentals

Great news for landlords in Spain! Ana Pastor, Minister of Fomento (Ministry of development in Spain) has published new laws for long-term rentals. Non-paying tenants are required to provide a valid excuse for non-payment of rent. If a valid argument is not provided and payment is still not made within 10 days, the court will rule the immediate eviction of the non-paying tenant.

This is really good news for those who want to rent out long term,those who manage rental properties as well as those who would like to rent on a long term agreement.
The previous law was so biased against property owners that some have left properties empty rather than rent them out,it should also now put more long term rentals on the market,so giving those who need or want to rent long term a wider choice of properties to choose from.
