As far as I can remember,you can take out as much as you like,from the U.K. and bring it in to a EU.Country.if you are doing it bank to bank you will have to give certain details to make sure it is not a laundering operation.If you are brave enough to take large amounts in cash you can be stopped,when leaving or entering a Country and it will be up to you to prove that the cash has not been received illegally,and is not about to be laundered by you.

You will have to explain where it came from if it is a large amount maybe over 5000, or even show where it has come from. If you take it in cash then you will have a lot more questions.

You can bring into Spain
But to be honest best send it over into
your Spanish bank account.
One thing is You Must Tell at Departures
at the Airport you have such money on your person.

It is 10.000 euro as the maximum amount of money.
If you have more you will have to document you are the owner. If you don't voluntary tells the custom people of the money in advance, they will question you for so long, that you maybe miss your flight.
