Could anybody please inform us when the clocks are actually suppose to go back this month?
In my Diary, on my Calendar and when I do a search on the internet it is Sunday 30th October.
BUT, a friend of ours was quite convinced that the clocks go back an hour this Sunday, 23rd October.
Also on the radio it was announced yesterday that the clocks go back tomorrow.

Who is correct???????

You are correct Carol,clocks go back on the last Sunday of October,and forward the last Sunday of March.
What is unusual about this October is that it has five Sundays in it,this may be where your friends error occured,in general most octobers only have four Sundays,and perhaps your friend thought that it was the fourth Sunday they changed (as it is most years)

But it was also announced on the local radio out here that clocks go back 1 hour tomorrow - Sunday 23rd Oct.

It was also on the front page of the Courier news paper for changing this weekend. Sooo.... When do they change?

It is always the last Saturday of October and this year it is the 29th October, officially time is 2am, but we just change our clock on the Saturday night as we are getting into bed.

So it will be lighter in the mornings, but dark by 6.30pm.

Carol the easy answer is,it has been on a local radio and in a local freebie.I can assure you next saturday it will be in the national papers and national tv,normally at the end of news bulletins.

Hi. Clocks go back in the UK - and this is official - at 2am on Sunday October 30th 2011 ... It was going to be at 1am, but was changed.

But at 02.00 it will then be 01.00!

Sunday 30th 02:00 will turn back to 01:00 :)
