Rock festival on market place.

Looks like Urb La Marina will be getting their own back on Saturday for the sleepless nights caused by the loud music during their Rojales fiestas.
I have just come in to work and they are setting up for the forthcoming Rock festival tomorrow on the market place opposite my showroom.
Having a look at the promotional website (www.rockarena.es) it looks like they are taking it seriously, free entry and nationally advertised with the last band supposed to be finishing their set at 3.00am sunday morning, (might be a hard night for the street cleaners to get the place ready for the market on Sunday or is the market cancelled???) so who knows how many rockers will be descending, I guess I better get all my cars & Flags inside the showroom for safekeeping tonight.

La Marina

I guess the forum will be quiet Sunday morning, until all the moaners have caught up on their missed sleep, perhaps San Ful should issue free ear plugs to all that want them!!

I'll be there, but will not last until the end, (it's an age issue) still gives me a good excuse to miss the market on Sunday.

Come on Golfer,Take a sleeping bag,Watch the Rock Festival until the end,Kip down in your sleeping bag for couple of hours and then you can be first in the queue for the market.

NOT using selective words. There was a time (when I had a full head of hair) when I would have been there from opening till the close of play, however, several years ago I had to start going out later at night if I wanted to still be there at the end. Nowadays, it makes no difference how late I go out, if I go our at 10, I’m still pooped by midnight, I just aint got the staying power, plus filisan is hard to find over here and I’m not yet into the other stuff. So by all means class me as a moaning miserable old git, but 2 hours and 3 pints will suffice and sod the market on Sunday.

Please treat the above in a light hearted manner

Of course it is light hearted and appreciated.

I have just realised that by the time the concert ends and the structures dismantled and taken away, then the area cleaned of rubbish, all before the market opens to stall holders, chances must be the market will not take place. So at least you win,you get to have a pint and a bop, then go home at a reasonable time without the thought of having to get up to go to the market.
If its any consolation,I will also be going home early,my excuse is that i have to take my Sister and her husband to Alicante for their flight home on Sunday on Sunday morning

Glad to hear you will be partaking Mr Golfer, although a little surprised as I gathered from your previous posts that you are a little ANTI music that can be heard outdoors. So either you will be there tomorrow night( with or without your sleeping bag) enjoying a bit of Spanish heavy metal or maybe just an excuse to take your decibel meter for an outing. Have a good night (along with the two or three thousand or so others) And please rate the quality of the bands on here on Sunday (something to do instead of going to the market).

No I am not anti music, what I do not agree with is when someone plays LOUD music that can be heard in ones home above their own TV. nuff said, let's leave it there
