Bowls Report for week commencing 22nd June 2014

Another week gone and the weather is still fantastic this week the Pilots were at Home to Greenland’s Glosters a very friendly but competitive game and the Pilots ran out winners by 8 points to 6 maintain there 3rd position in the league

The winners on the day as follows, Gina Hindle, Sue Daniels skip Len Daniels: Mo Taylor John Morgan skip Bill Simms: Hilary Cronk, Arthur Cronk Skip Bobbie Simms. This week they make the long journey to pal at Mazzaron who are 2nd in the league.

The Navigators were away at La Siesta Wasps managing a creditable 7 points each draw the winners Dave McGaw, Margaret Finlayson skip Shirley Hadaway: Martin Butler, Mike Surch skip Brian Duff: with Kath Manning, Jim Manning skip Dave Hadaway managing a draw but because of a couple of good point wins they managed to pinch the shot difference by just 4 points.

Our VCL team played at home against San Miguel winning the game 7 points to 5 with wins for Kath Manning: and Mo Taylor, Martin Butler, Jim Manning skipped by Dave Hadaway and the trips on Janet Parson, Shirley Hadaway skip Peter Parson scoring a creditable draw the team winning the shot difference by just 3 points.

Over the weekend we hosted the SABA trips and were well represented throughout but especially Janet Parsons, Peter Parsons skipped by Alan Castle who lost narrowly in the final to very good trips from Quesada, many thanks to all who took part in making it a good weekend of bowls.

Our plans are now beginning to take place to celebrate our 25th Anniversary on 15th Oct so watch this space for future events.
