LA MARINA BOWLS CLUB

Last week saw the second half of the season get under way and gave the Pilots the opportunity to take revenge on the Navigators for the defeat earlier in the season, on a perfect day with the conditions great for bowls that just what the Pilots did running out 11 points to 3 winners. The winners on the day being Janet Parsons, Berni Carr skip Peter Parsons: Hilary Cronk, Arthur Cronk skip Bobbie Simms: Dave Taylor, Barbara Forshaw skip Dave O`Sullivan: Chris Webb, Andy Bartlett skip Dave Lewis: and a creditable draw earned by Gina Hindle, Sue Daniels skips Len Daniels. The Navigators winners on the Day Martin Webb, Mike Surch skip Brian Duff. The win keeps the Pilots in 3rd position in the league so still all to play for.

Our VCL team this week played away at Quesada winning the game 8 points to 4 with the winners being Andy Bartlett and Tom Spencer: Janet Parsons, Shirley Hadaway skip Peter Parsons: and Mo Taylor, Barbara Forshaw, Jim Manning skip Dave Hadaway.

Our Saturday club day game was won by Christine Webb, Dave McGaw skipped by Barry Sadler.

Our plans are now beginning to take place to celebrate our 25th Anniversary on 15th Oct so watch this space for future events.
