CARP-R-US CLUB NEWS

This week, round six of the Clubs Summer Series of matches, was fished on the Eden section of the River Segura in Guardamar.

The weather was a mixture of sun shine and high cloud, clouding over a lot in the afternoon, making it very sultry with temperatures in the 26 to 28 ºC range.

In first place on the day was, once again Steve Collins with a weight of 6.960kg using the feeder. In second place was Steve Fell with 4.20kg and in third spot was Nigel Mourant with 4.06kg. There was a tie for fourth place between Andy Foden and Pete Kerr with both weighing in 3.68kg.

The next match,round seven, is also the Clubs pairs match and will be fished on the Embalse del Argos on Thursday the 26th of June with pegs at 8.00 am and fishing 9.00 to 3.00pm.

The next of our Quiz nights will be held at the Bar on Tuesday the 24th of June starting at 7.30pm -the cost is 1 Euro per person and teams of up to six are allowed to take part.

The next Club meeting will be held on Sunday the 6th of July with the Committee at 10.30 am followed by the General Meeting at 11.00am.

The Clubs home is at the Bar El Alto La Dolores which is to be found between La Mata and Guardamar on the N332 and near to the Repsol garage.
