ASL Member Founding Member Meddelande #19596 Svar stängda

I have just read that live music has been banned in all venues in La marina for at least the next two weeks.
Is anybody in the Town Hall going to confirm or deny what has just appeared on facebook or are you just a load of W******.

Alan How about adding a little bit of meat to your post and a slight hint as to where this has emerged from? OR Rather who's facebook page? Go on I DARE you.

Ian,
If you go on your page on facebook, and on search put, La Marina gossip and keep it alive (entertainment) it should direct you to the page. The article is written by Impact Charity who have had to cancel a charity do on Friday, as I imagine other bars and charities are having to do,

Well this is what i found on facebook
Cancelled......
It with regret that this Friday 6th June Chloe Leigh Stageshows has had to be cancelled due to what I believe is "complaints about live music".
I also believe that there is some sort of "Ban" for the next couple of weeks regarding live music.
So thank you to everyone who has complained about live music as it seems now summer has started up the "ball park rules" have changed again.

These types of rumours are doing damage to the Urbanisation and the businesses that are operating here. Apparently last weekind one of the major bars cancelled an act because there was a strong rumour that the National Police (Black Shirts) were looking to raid and take to task a bar that had entertainment on. So a statement is needed from someone in power, to help put an end to all this.

Music has been banned in and around Las Buganvillas near Garrucha. The police have banned all live music outside and warned bars they will face a fine of up to 300,00 Euro if they allow live music to be played. Bars are having to cancel their summer entertainment. Apparently it's a new rule being implemented across Spain!

My local bar had a street fiesta a couple of months ago,... no problem, so another was applied for,... no chance ?

Why was it ok then but not now.

I wish those in charge would realise that people will not want to come to La Marina if there's nothing going on, it's just common sense to allow entertainment, and maybe some of these tourists may decide to buy property here, meaning more revenue for bars , restaurants, shops and the Council coffers.

BigEd, people will want to come to La Marina if there's nothing going on. No noise from bars. Just nice and quiet! Why do you think the majority of the people are interested in bars? Bars and music from bars are obviously in your opinion the only thing people are interested in. I do not agree with you.

Reindeer,
Big Ed did not at anytime in his comment, write anything like the comment you stated that he wrote. (But as the saying goes, 'Why let the truth get in the way of a good lie'
I read Him as saying that Holidaymakers come to La Marina to enjoy themselves and need entertainment to fulfill that aim, So that they may wish to return here again and spend more money here helping the local businesses and also helping the local council who in return get extra cash by way of taxes. Finally he states, that it may make a few holiday makers buy a place here, helping countless other businesses.
So stop being the person who hates everything and for once in your life, have something positive to say about what we could do to make La Marina a better place to be, rather than your normal, anti stance

Thanks Alan for your comments and thanks Reindeer for your assumption.
Of course not everyone comes to La Marina for entertainment, but I think quite a few would prefer something going on, that's why we have a Fiesta over 3 nights this weekend, and I think it will be well supported.

Alan, thank you for explaining what BigEd is thinking would make the urbanisation a better place. And thank you BigEd for explaining what you think. Ok, I wrote the only thing (bars and music). Probably something else also attracts visitors, but this thread is mainly about bars and music.
And Alan I do not hate everything. That was a silly comment comming from you. If I don´t like bars playing loud music for, as it seems, nearly deaf ears doesn´t make me a person who hates everything!

Not going to waste too much time on you Reindeer. Look at past comments from people and then carefully read your answers to their comments.
You answer comments, but don't read the comments properly first, so a lot of what you write as your answer turns out to sound rather like moan at a comment that wasn't actually made

Alan, I commented your silly comment about me being a person that hates everything. But you obviously didn't read my answer. Is that my fault?
