AAN ARE NOT FEEDING THE NEEDY

I am the president of the AAN charity, and the manageress of the charity shop. I would like to say that no one has come into the shop to ask for food, it is our policy to provide food to the urbanisation office for them to distribute to the necessary families. If this person wants to come into the charity shop on Monday , I will personally take them to the urbanisation office so that they can have an appointment with social services. The urbanisation office deals with appointments. We cannot give out food to anyone who comes into the shop, anyone can come in and say that they have no money for food, they need to go through the correct channels. If you Don would like anymore information do not hesitate to come into the shop, but I doubt you will.

I guess you are entitled to your view, But I wonder what made you think, that you can tell a starving women to go to the AAN Charity shop and they will give her food
Perhaps the difference is that if I had known of this woman, I think I would of bought her food until I had sorted out the procedure for her getting food from a food bank. Sending her to a charity shop is not how I have read how its done. Perhaps if you had taken a few minutes of your time, to help this Lady. Instead of having a pop at a Charity, You and the Lady in question could of achieved so much more. Per haps asking at the Church about the procedure or popping in to see Jeff and asking how to get the Ladies name onto the Social Services register, Both of these things I am sure would achieve positive results.

Pauline, the reason I advised my neighbour to go to the new Food for the Needy charity shop is because I read in a newspaper article promoting the opening of the shop that local people in need can go there directly. From her description of a lady with short blond hair, and looking at your photo at the top of this post, may I assume that it was you she asked for help?

Alan, glad that you and I are on the same wavelength. I and another neighbour are doing as much as we possibly can to help our neighbour and after her rather distressing visit to the AAN charity shop she visited the Social Services office in San Fulgencio. They referred her to the Caritas charity which works in collaboration with the church to provide food for all people in desperate need, not just those with a spouse and children. Caritas has provided her with basic food provisions.

It was only a little while ago the woman running this shop was being slagged off because they thought she was not following the correct proceedings that was disapproved now she is she is still being slagged off,if mother Teresa was running a charity on this urb some people would still find cause for complaint.Carry on with the good job you are doing.

Let's get it straight, One person (who should of known better) has had a pop at Pauline and at AAN.
I am pretty certain that one person will not change life for AAN or Pauline, I hope not anyway. This is a great charity and seems to be run efficiently and correctly, by Pauline Having looked at previous comments by the person complaining, I just think that perhaps he needs to complain about something, that he is not in agreement with..

How intelligent are you .you bring up a section at least 6 months old, to knock a charity. You have absolutely nothing to add to your complaint that you aired six months earlier, so you 'bump' it to get it to the top of the page.
Your reason looks obvious to me, it is because that one Charity is doing rather well for the needy of San Fulgencio,and that goes against the grain for you. The feed the needy have a new link going and is getting the normal praise, so you try the old newspaper trick of trying to spoil that link.
I am hoping that ASL are looking at your stupid childish action and do what they did a short time ago when someone tried the same trick and deleted the whole lot.

Alan, it's great that you give such well-deserved support to AAN, which is a very successful, properly registered Charity whose volunteer workers devote much time and effort to raise funds to purchase food for the San Fulgencio Council Offices to distribute. However, we should spare a thought for 'Don', whose true identity is known to most of La Marina Urbanisation. We should pity, not mock this sad little man. He clearly has severe personality problems, which are probably linked to his physical attributes. There are many well-documented cases where men of small stature over-compensate for their feelings of inadequacy by acquiring an all-consuming need to control people and things around them. Whilst many of the more intelligent ones manage to understand their shortcomings, many do not even realise that they have a personality disorder and therefore do nothing to correct their abnormal behaviour. Personally, I pity 'Don' and from personal experience know that his problems extends to at least one other sphere of his life in which he struggles to maintain any degree of professionalism, instead adopting a 'Head-in-the-Sand' approach. We should all feel sorry for Mark and pray that he seeks out and receives the help he so badly needs.

Another example of your inefficiency Mark, I am afraid; as a councillor (ex or otherwise) you should KNOW the system, not have to glean incorrect assumptions from the local rag. Please promise you will get some therapy for your preoccupations; you really do need help, you know. x
