Has anyone ever experienced their flight being cancelled? If so did you get any compensation back from the Airline? Mine was cancelled at the last minute last Friday as I arrived at Gatwick by BA, ended up with them giving me a Hotel room plus meals. Spent a very very boring 22 hours at Gatwick North Terminal. Their excuse was shortage of staff. More like me thinks a shortage of passengers. When you think of how they charge so much for even taking a bag these days, yet they cancel flights without any thought of the paying public .

Thank you for that kind offer Robert, but unfortunately I had only gone over for a 2 night stay for my Mothers 90th birthday and I did not have my laptop with me. So had to put up with BA Hotel accommodation. With reference to letting out that villa you mentioned I do know that booking.com are short of villas on La Marina. If that helps you, they used to only do Hotels but now list villa rentals also.

Two of our friends will be looking for a 2 - 3 month rental at end of january next year. They want to be in walking distance of the Sports Complex?

Hi Caroline, did your friends find anywhere to rent after? I couldn't help with the end of Jan, but I could from the last 2 weeks in Feb for 2 months. The house is a 3 bed quad and about a 13 min walk from the Sports Complex.
