Entertainment Licence Progress

I have just returned from a meeting with the Valencian Government Delegate for Alicante, Snr Juan de Dios Navarro Caballero. Also present was Mayor Carlos Ramirez, Paulino, Vice President of Pres Assoc Barbara Hill, and Bob Harlow, one of our Presidents. The meeting lasted about an hour and we put our case forward, and it was agreed that the Town Hall could go ahead and issue an Entertainment Licence. The final details have yet to be agreed, but there will be stipulations. Once again , this will all be finalised in the next few weeks. Once all the details are known, it will be publicised. The Mayor has been very active in getting this accepted, and, along with all the names that we got, I am very pleased that maybe something positive has come of it. Then again, this will only happen if we all work together. Thank you all for your support.

Well done to all those involved in getting what seems like a chance for the local Council to take over from Valencia regarding the entertainments licence. This was the first and possibly the easiest step.the harder ones to follow are the Council and Bar owners getting together and agreeing times and noise level allowable, the cost of entertainment licenses, must not be a permit for the council to be use it as a cash cow, The complainents who use the noise thing should be warned that calling the police when totally unappropriately, out of sheer vindictivness, will be punishable to the extent of a fine at least covering police wasted time. The general public who use these bars must understand that not all people want a load of noise late at nightwhile some drunken revellers are homeward bound (normally the sober ones are fairly quiet) Bar Owners must also accept the responsibility of noisy drunken revellers outside the bars they own,and perhaps a system used to keep each other informed of where noisy drunks are heading from and to.(same sort of thing as used in large shopping centres where store managers use a system to each other to warn of known thieves operating in the centres).I am sure many things will be taken into consideration,I hope for the sake of La Marina Urbs.that they are the right ones and are strictly observed.

So nice to see someone getting things done Well done Tommy.
Only comment is I hope you keep in mind that most singers/bands are often far to loud anyway. It comes down to some kind of control needed. When we go out at night part of the enjoyment is talking to the pals you are with, but often this is impossible owing to the volume. Please keep that point in mind especially, as I love live music and enjoy it, as do so many of us out here.
