Christmas is coming

This Christmas we are hoping to put together something different for the people of the area. We have an assurance that we will have for the first time, a Christmas Tree near to the Social Centre. Also there will be a small nativity scene erected in the same location. I am donating baubles to the Emaus and Butterfly Children Charities. The idea is for the public to purchase the bauble and ribbon for 1€. All money going to the Charity. The recipient of the bauble can write the name of a friend or loved one on the ribbon, who cannot be with them for Christmas. This will then be placed on the Christmas Tree and the other trees around the Social Centre. On the 23rd we have a plan for Carols to be sung around the Centre at 6pm. followed by some traditional Spanish entertainment. Mulled wine and mince pies will be available.
The following evening, Santa will pay a visit to the Centre and should parents wish to arrange for Santa to give their child a present, they should contact our office for further information. We are also trying to put on something for New Years Eve, so watch this space.

If it does materialise,i hope it is advertised well,so that people know it is happening.
I think the bauble idea is great,lets hope it raises lots of cash for charity.

Ah the bauble idea is great, I hope it's a success for the charities.
Give us all a reminder about the 23rd a bit nearer the time ( I have a terrible memory for dates!) We had TABS singing carols at the bar for the christmas fayre and it went really well so I think you'll get a good response to that as well. I think La Marina needs a bit of chritmas spirit, so this is the way to go.
