Hi everyone,
I have just updated our programme of events for our Tuesday Ladies Club at the Hillside Aquapark. The events take us up to our Summer Break at the end of June.
We have a few spaces left, so if any ladies out there would like to join our Club please feel free to come along any Tuesday and see what we are all about.

Solar Water Heating

Hi My name is Tony of cssolar, Ian has kindly invited me to join the La Marina Life Forum.
I import and sell vacuum tube solar water heaters and have several fitted in the La Marina area.
Solar water heating is a great way of reducing your fuel bills, lets face it there is plenty of free sun shine here and that means it is possible to have free hot water production for most of the year !!

New to Forum

Hi Everyone, Just like to say thanks to Ian for starting this new forum with all the excellent info on it.
It's always good to hear other views and learn about whats new in the area.

I am the Vice Chairperson of the Ladies Club at the Hillside Bar and I will soon highlight on the events calendar all the forthcoming events which we have coming up. We do have a few spaces on our books if there are any ladies out there who wish to join us. The Ladies club is every Tuesday from 2-4pm at the Hillside Bar,Calle Bilbao. See you there.

Hillside Sports Centre

Hi All
Just wanted to let you know that we have just got home from an excellent evening at Hillside Sports Centre on La Marina urbanisation. We thought there were going to be 6 of us tonight on our table, but extra friends arrived and in total there were 12 of us - a brilliant night was had by all. The venue was absolutely packed. Thank's everyone for such a great fun night !!! xxx

Hi Ian we had this problem last year and we bought some spray for the local ferataria?. Apparently the best time to spray the little devils in about 5pm when they are all back in there nests

SAN FULGENCIO TIGER FARM BELIEVED CLOSED
A RESIDENT of San Fulgencio has been rearing tigers for circuses without any authorisation.

For years passers-by in Las Pesqueras urbanisation by the River Segura have been able to hear and catch glimpses of tigers, lions and other wild animals including monkeys being kept in cages at the property.

National ombudsman María Luisa Cava de Llano revealed in her annual report that a neighbour made several complaints that she was in danger from the animals next door.

Councillor Mark Lewis told CBNews the town hall had been trying to take action since 2002. The situation was complicated as the tigers' owner was not the owner of the property.

"It took us years to trace the owner of the house as he does not live in Spain," he explained. "It was only after we finally managed to get him to receive official notices that the remaining tigers were removed, just a few weeks ago."

During this time the owner of the animals was able to continue his activity. The Defensor del Pueblo revealed the neighbour complained to the Guardia Civil environmental service SEPRONA, which sent a report to the courts in Orihuela. But the case was dropped for not constituting a criminal offence and so the ombudsman recommended the town hall restart its administrative proceedings.
