JEFF HAS REPLIED ON HIS BLOG REGARDING THE LACK OF INFORMATION GIVEN TO US

As a few on here are aware I have always backed Jeff and will continue to do so.

Yes weejohnten, I have passed comment on your choice before,Where as most of my comments are not pro Jeff,but in this instance,I believe he is speaking from the heart, and is upset as to how the rest of the Council appear to be treating him, and this is definitely not the first time the Mayor has forgotten to relay important information to him,But although I will back Jeff in this argument,he does have a way of protecting himself and us,once he realizes that this Council cannot rule without him, if he threatens to resign, the Council then do not have a clear mandate to govern the Council,so would either have to try to get one of the opposing groups on there side (Which I gather they would of already done,if it offered the Council a better deal)or try to govern and keep losing,the other option is I presume a new election,Which because of the crap way they have run San Fulgencio in the past couple of years,the chance of getting nine seats must be zilch

I have the greatest of sympathy for Jeff if it really is so that The Mayor is ignoring him whether it is intentional or oversight, however, we elected Jeff to represent us and he clearly is not doing so or perhaps not being allowed to do so?
If Jeff has a problem with his "Boss" then it is up to Jeff to get this sorted out forthwith, precisely as you and I have needed to do during the 50 years or so that we worked.
Surely it has not taken Jeff slightly more than 2 years to realise that the community press officer only sends out information in Spanish?
One of the reasons that Jeff got my vote was that these sort of problems with language and information would be sorted out immediately, clearly this has not been done and I cannot excuse this type of inefficency.
It seems to me that the only way to get The Mayor's full attention is for Jeff to remove his vote which he uses to get a majority in the Council Chamber.
Unless Jeff gets this and other problems sorted then he is of little use to the electorate that he represents?

I'm sure Jeff is only too aware of his position and is most likely reviewing his support and casting vote, however I for one would not be happy or supportive if he jumped into bed with the main opposition. Its only my opinion and carries no weight at all and please don't barrage me with the why's and why nots as I stated "ITS ONLY MY OPINION"

I doubt very much if any of the opposition are interested in aligning with Jeff, and I have to agree with Friendlyviking on the matter of press officer. Jeff was a journalist for the CoastRider newspaper before he became a councillor. Does he really expect people to feel sorry for him. And let's not forget his FIVE council paid personal assistants. Why Jeff have you not instructed one of them to inform and advise people on the urbanisations?

You state, you doubt if any other body will align with Jeff if he leaves the present Council. Jeff is a member of the PIPN he is in fact the only member of that party to have a seat on the Council.It is not a question of one of the Opposition aligning with Jeff, as the opposition consists of three separate parties (I am sure I have that right, but if not please correct me)all of them would have to join together inclusive of jeff.But what would happen if jeff refuses to align himself with either side? It leaves a stale-mate,with eight votes either way,If Jeff abstains,surely the status quo carries the day(nothing happens,)if jeff votes, whatever he says goes,because he gives his vote and breaks the stale mate.Of course the Council cannot work with that option ,so surely it must resign en- masse,meaning we may get to vote again to correct our mistakes of two years ago. But for this to happen Jeff has to have balls,Firstly he would lose his job,and secondly would he be at all confident of getting a new one in the new Council.I can tell you that if jeff did this my vote would go to PIPN in the next election,purely because he would of shown himself a man of conviction.If he doesn't do anything than keep the status _quo, The PIPN would def. not get my vote as he would be seen as a man looking after himself and not the residents.
I do not profess to know much about Spanish Politics,so I may have this entirely wrong,it is entirely my idea using common sense as to how politics work
