The Local Bars dont stand a chance?

¿¿This was at the end of another posting looking a little lost and was posted by Peter. If what is in the Leader story is to be enacted??? YOU DO NEED TO READ THIS LEADER STORY 1st.

What a load of Tosh. If that is followed through then Valencia have successfully managed to find a plan to close down the whole area. It will not all happen at once but bit by bit. Bars will not be able in the Summer months to operate like that. Holiday makers and residents alike, are used to sitting out in the nice warm summer months enjoy a pint a meal and listen to music. We do not wish to be in a fairly small bar packed in like sardines and suffer air-conditioning.
Spain will really go down the tubes if this comes in. If this is why the new councillors are saying so little I kind of understand. My question is to them have you got the B***s or political knowledge to get it sorted. I think perhaps not.

Good evening Alice
Just wanted to say that this article was printed in 2006.

Ive just gone through this article. It really does seem true then. If its law its law, no ifs or buts. I remember people on here a while back talking about how perople are cheating the system and laws through taxes.
Now it seem crystal clear that the guide lines are set out and need to be followed. it comes back to the question though if the council enforced this LAW it drive la marina beyond a point of bringing it back.

Big article, like it or not, it is very interesting and I assume (I don't know) that San Fulgencio were only informing the Bar owners of the Valencian rules or laws etc.

This problem has been going on all over Spain for over 25 years as I know of. Its about time the Government made up its mind to do one thing or the other. If they stop people having music outside, it will be a case of, don't do what we do, do as we tell you. Nobody bats an eyelid when the noise goes on all night and every night for sometimes a week at a time, when they hold fiestas. Talk about double standards.

I agree with Ian's thinking 100%, Jeff or San Fulgencio must clarify the issue once and for all, does La Marina follow/abide by the Valencian laws or does La Marina have it's own laws that over rule Valencia?
