I second that Steve and I am sure you get loads and loads similar praises for them.

Carol & Ian have worked very hard in the past 12 months building this excellent forum, what a shame it has come to them resigning.

So very sorry to see you go, I cannot understand what motivates some people to cause such disturbance.

Shocked and hope that they will reconsider their position. And the morons responsible whoever they are take a good look at yourselves do yo really want to be on this forum because the form certainty does not need you or your type.
Ian& Carol think again you have far more supporters than detractors.

WHAT A DAMN SHAME
after all your hard work you produced a fantastic forum where people were free to express themselves without being edited, not many forums do that!!! Please reconsider we must not let a few ruin a great forum. It is again a case of the lowest common denominator why should this forum suffer and you two resign because some trouble making creep targets the site. This simply should not be allowed to happen.

I would like to add this. Carol and Ian were doing a great job with what they were doing.
My point is that yes a lot of things are said on here, a lot of topics are discussed which is what forums are all about.
When post are being posted about all bars,naming bars people saying bar owners are threatening people, charities are miss managing funds. Let's not forget la marina is in serious decline as it is and when posts are being posted like they have been and left up here for people to carry on smashing people's reputations, bars reputations and busniesses I'm sorry they should of been dealt with instantly and deleted, not left up here for people to take a swipe and dig at it. These are peoples lives and people have to earn money to survive and there we all thinking its a game, well when you mess with peoples livelyhood I'm sorry it's not a game and it aint funny.
I'm not taking away anything from Carol and Ian at all.

To be honest a lot of Posts SHOULD have been deleted, especially the ones regarding the Charities, Bars.
How PATHETIC about the postings on swearing!

This is why most forum admins have to edit or delete certain posts, ban some members, and have rules and regulations. If there were no rules, you´d likely get people using it to spam their business, or you´ll get trolls or flamers like the ones who´ve recently made potentially libellous comments here.

Of course forums are more lively when these type of inciting comments are made as it gets peoples backs up and entices more of the members to respond, but it must cause big headaches for anyone running a forum I´m sure. Why should anyone put themselves in the firing line of disgruntled businesses who have been slated just to offer entertainment to others. Looks to me to be a thankless task and I can understand why Ian and Carol have decided it´s not worth the agro and why other sites have had to be stricter on what can and cannot be posted!
