The final week of the season and league positions finally decided, the top team award this week goes to the Dolphins who won on Friday away at San Luis Tigers by 11 points to 3 unfortunately the win left them level on points with Quesada which meant that they missed out on promotion on shot difference, the winners on the day Reg Jackson, Jack Chorlton skip Bill Jones: Jill Albutt, Mike Brain skip John Albutt: Brian Murray, Martin Butler skip Dave O`Sullivan: Margaret Jamieson, Dave Willas ski Bill Jamieson with John Rae, Margaret Finlayson skip George Chambers managing a draw.
On Monday the sister team the Astronauts won 8 points to 6 at home against Monte mar matadors and in doing so secured their position in division 2, the winners Jill Albutt, Mike Brain skip John Albutt: Dave McGraw, Angie Butler skip Margaret Finlayson: Brenda Brain, Martin Butler skip Don Harrison:
The Seagulls lost at home on Friday 2 points to 12 to the league champions Emerald Isle Cavaliers but managed to secure their place in the second division for next year only one trip won Phil Richmond, Bob Mallett skip John Morgan: Monday saw the sister team the Pathfinders win at home 10 points to 4 against Greenland’s Chestnuts, the win saw them promoted from division3 as champions, the winners on the day Mo Taylor, Chris Green skip Dave Taylor: Dave Freeman, Shelia Kirby skip Steve Hindle: June Tew, Berni Carr skip John Morgan and Bob Tew, Mo Barker skip Arthur Cronk.
The Sharks won away 8 points to 6 at Country Bowls Ramblers winners being Chris Webb, Peter Parsons skip Alan Castle: Tom Spencer, Phil Pape skip Barry Latham: Kath Manning, Barry Sadler skip Roy Hart: On Monday the sister Team the Explorers lost 2 points to 12 away at Quesada Pearls only managing to win on 1 rink Jim Dobbins, Jim Manning skip Barry Latham.
Our Fed 4`s team this week travelled away to play Emerald Isle Leprechauns losing narrowly by 3 points to 5 with a shot difference of just 3 shots, the winners Jill Albutt, Bill Simms, Maureen Kidd skip John Albutt; Barbara Forshaw, Phil Pape, Jim Manning skip Bobbie Simms:
Our Saturday St Patrick event was won by the rinks of Brian Murray, June Tew skipped by Bill Jamieson a good day had by all.
