HOGS HEAD
We have just popped in to the Hogs Head - the new restaurant/bar that is just about to open up on the urb (this was previously Thomas Greens). We met Paul - The owner who says that he hopes they will be open completely for business by next weekend. It appears that they are going to have entertainment ie Karaoke/disco on certain evenings and also live entertainment on Saturday evenings. I think Paul is going to post up here and enclose his website links for you all to see. Good luck to Paul and his wife in their new business. We walked past there on our way home last night Carol about midnight and there were a few people still sitting outside, we had a look through the window and it looks a very nice place, we shall definately try it x
Yes, it's quite spacious inside (with air con), and then there are a few tables up the stairs (where the cards used to be when it was Thomas Greens) - they have also got another room up the stairs which they are going to turn in to a pool room. Agree Linda - a night out there I think for a change ! They are going to do a set menu I believe for the evening, but I have already asked if they would do me yolky eggs and chips and Paul did say they would if I asked the chef nicely he would he he xx

We drove by the Hogs Head last night and there were customers sitting outside. I expect they were just having drinks or coffee as the kitchen is hopefully opening for next weekend. I'm looking forward to seeing how successful the owners make their new business.
