Animal Ambulance

can Mr wiszniewski confirm that our precious Animal Ambulance, in San Fulgencio,La Marina is to be given to "CERECO" at Crevillente
This place has been well documented in the press over recent years for the very poor conditions that animals have to endure

Absolutely not. The animal ambulance belongs to San Fulgencio and as agreed with K9, it will continue to be used as such in the municipality. The vehicle is off the road at the moment as the ITV has expired. Hopefully it wont be long before it is picking up the abandoned animals.

In addition to the above: The animal ambulance ITV was up on the day it was stopped. So therefore no offence was committed by the driver.
When Susannah , the councillor for the animals in the whole Municipality discovered that the vehicle 's ITV was up that day, she immediately contacted the local Police to make sure that the vehicle would not be used until arrangements could be made to book it in for it's ITV. Remember we were only 4 days into the new Government and there are still a great deal of things we have still to discover.

Disgraceful. We're asking these people to spend millions of Euros of our money and they can't even keep their vehicles on the road and remember when an ITV is due.

I have one question for Jeff Wisznieski to try to find the answer to,The Animal Ambulance is parked outside the Police Station, why was it allowed to be used on the morning,on the same day the police stopped it,I gather the Driver was not fined for not having a current ITV.Something dosnt seem quite right to me.The Ambulance could of had its ITV by now but i would guess it will stay outside the Police Station for the near future

I agree how can the "voulunters" not know that the animal rescue van was due for its ITV..When a rescue van like that is in use everyday the simplest checks should be carried out everyday, break lights, head lights, oil water checked, it should all be kept on a daily task sheet. So if it was pulled off the road because of the ITV then what else could be wrong with it. Its not down to the councill to check it its down to the people who run that animal rescue van day in day out...lets hope its out and about sooner rather than later..

So if there is no doubt that K9 are still going to be used to collect the abandoned animals of la marina then how come this is what it says on the Town Hall website!
San Fulgencio Town Hall is NEGOTIATING an abandoned animals collection service. Shortly there will be an office opening in La Marina urb. for this purpose, among others, where residents will be able to report abandoned or lost animals. Until then, you may contact the Local Police on tel. 966794453.
The ITV had NOT expired on the day they took the keys from K9, it still had another 2 days left!!

Wow...Ive finally seen red. You know what all this with the ambulance and k9 stuff really has to stop. Fact is the public did not know K9 had a contract with the town hall, how much was the last government paying K9 for this contract. Another question why do k9 have full use of that animal rescue van why wasn't it being shared between the animal charities. again, another question, all the dogs and cats K9 pick up, if not re-homed where do they put them in there own kennels or if so, where are they how comes the public have very little where abouts of these kennels that they house these dogs. Another question is how much was Mark lewis getting for the animal welfare budget i here it was between €15.000-€20.000 euros a year. Where did that all go too don't anyone dare say on vet bills. Money needs to be accounted for and if that means a office is open on the la marina urb and all animal calls go to a office before Mark lewis or K9 have to go out to collect that animal the best thing to come out of that is, it can be documented how many calls and actually how many times the ambulance goes out and really does collect animals. make no mistake cuts need to be made and if the new government want to do a paper trail on the last government then so be it. so now that jeff has stated that K9 are the only users of that animal rescue van does everyone kind of come to the agreement that mark lewis backed K9 and forgot all about the other animal charities in San fulgencio.Shame on him. If a office does open up on the urb then good for jeff as he would of achieved more in a month than any other ex-pat councilor did in the last 4 years e.g mark Lewis. If this annoys anyone you know what thats life, fact is if Mark lewis had tried to work with all the charities in San Fulgencio I am sure a lot more stuff would of got done than him trying to lay all the pressure on K9. Jeff you are doing a brill job of answering everyones questions on here and it seems you are being open and honest even if the answer is not what a member of public would like to here
