Medieval Market in La Marina

WOW things have sure been warming up tonight and I dont only mean weather wise
thought I would slow things down and repeat what i said a day ago.
On Fri/Sat /Sun this week at 7pm around the Social Centre/tourist Office Area,We will have a Medieval Market in La Marina for the first time,I do not know what to expect, but hope that many of you pop down and have a look at what goes on,grab your Family and Friends and all the people you can muster,if it is a success, you can almost guarantee another one next year, which will be even bigger and better

La Marina

This should be good fun. But so far less than half the people I have mentioned this to were aware it was on. So do pass the word around.

You are so right Ian,I havnt seen or heard any advertising for this event,In fact i only found out a couple of days ago,When Jeff mentioned it in a comment on this forum.
Seems the Coucil cannot get the hang of informing people in advance,of things which concern the fun side of La Marina,Hey ,but who knows,They may eventually get the hang of using free advertising

I have now mentioned The Medieval Market to a further 6 people, none were aware it was on. But one said I should of guessed as the police had signs up there near the Info Centre about not parking this weekend. A clue to things going on in La Marina then is to watch for No Parking Signs. Not that one knows what is on just that something is about to happen.

The problem seems to be is that we British have not yet learned how the Spanish Advertise, have we? The theory I am told is it is done by rockets and fireworks. It is based on time of day, verses length of time between bangs, divided by where let off, and number let off.
We do expect to much at times.
I have the message and will be going hope you all do as well. Should be fun!

Douglas,
I am one of the ex-pats,who have been taught this method of advertising. In fact it was broadcast live to many people at the Fiesta, last weekend
It started off, telling us" The place to be next weekend,to have a great time was"But then the firework display computer packed up,so no one got the message,

So that is proof that posters exist. What is the reason that they do not put them up in the area. Plus into other local areas.
I find this very very hard to understand the logic of this. Put together a good event then not bothering to tell us all! I so far have not seen a single Poster up anywhere. Seems like a complete lack of understanding of how the commercial world works.
So keep telling people what ever you do. Posters will not be displayed

What a huge blunder. Seems such a shame that people have not been told and that the posters have not gone up in the shops. Rather sad really.
We will both be there but only found out about it up here. Thanks Guys

I have to eat humble pie.
I had a pop at the Council regarding the lack of advertising for the Medieval Market and thought i would do a bit myself,So this morning I got onto one of the English speaking radio stations and ask them to mention it.
They told me why they felt unable to mention on the radio station, which i dont wish to go into to.
They then contacted me ,to tell me a large piece regarding this Market was in fact printed in this weeks Leader on page 24,
So to the San Fulgencio Council,SORRY.
.

One local paper only?
Where are all the posters telling people that it is on. Why did they bother to make them and then not print them and put them up, sounds very poor to me.

The market owner was supposed to do the posters. When we saw none we made our own and posted them on the Council buildings and at the Tourist Office.
