Let me first thank Jeff for his speedy reply,to queries put on this forum by myself and other people.
The points he makes about queries i have made are the amount of Councillors,I mentioned 15 councillors,he states that SEVEN of the NINE ruling Councillors attended.only a small point jeff,But I didnt state "ruling" but the last i heard ,was that this council had 15 members,of which 7 were PP members plus you which have them control of the council,I must admit to being puzzled by your answer which states the ruling parties now have 9 seats,who or where did the other one come from,or did i misread something last year.
Secondly Dos Mas did run the bar at the rock concert on Saturday,which makes me wonder why for the first time that i can remember,were no food or drink allowed in at the venue,leaving groups of heavy metal fans,loitering around the outside of the venue drinking cans of beer .obviously bought by the case from supa valu.
Your car I agree is your business,and you shouldnt have to explain why you buy what you buy or when you buy it.
Your wages again you dont have to explain what you earn or how many hours you work,I would think,that information could be picked up from other places,if somebody thought it was important.On saying that if you do want to state what you earn against what somebody else says you earn,you shouldnt really state your earnings after tax and stoppages ,if the other person is using gross figures,it only distorts the figures.(no i dont need to know what you earn before tax)
Lastly the allowing The Strip to be closed so that Dos Mas could have live music outside,in my opinion,was a kick in the teeth to the many bars who have had visits from the police recently even when the sounds they made were in the daytime or late evening.but undoudtably I will have more to say on this point later today

After reading the blog and also reading what Trevor wrote, somomes lying, regarding the rock concert.
It is mentioned in the log that before councillor Jeff took a holiday he new the cost was around €9000 euros. It was then revealed it was near €20.000 on another website. So my point is, Jeff stated to Trevor this money was from the valencian regional government. This is where someone is lying. Jeff knew the cost was around €9000 euros, so when he was on holiday the councillor for tourism called Valencia and cheekly asked for a extra €10.000 euros and just by magic they said there you go there's a extra €10.000 euros. So when Jeff comes off holiday and sees that people are stating the real cost he then approaches the tourism councillor and he tells Jeff it's now nearer €18.000 grand.
So someone is lying about where the money has come from.

So in all honesty it looks like there's no real communication between these two party's that are in a coalition.

Who might I ask paid for all the work up on the strip to close off the roads? Dos mas or La marina residents en Mass?

Will agree with most of what you say.But i had to read the blog three timee times,to actually understand what Jeff said,and he actually falls short this time in saying Valencia footed the bill for the concert,he now says if the money wasnt spent on tourism and youth ,some of the money from valencia would of been stopped,and that without money from Valencia we in San Fulgencio,would have less than half the money needed to run the town.
At least that is how i read it.

I was just reading what Trevor wrote and he said Jeff told him the money cam from Valencia. It just baffles you. Plus I also forgt to mention it was stated on la marina info On May the 9th that the rock concert was costing around €20.000 so how did the councillors get all the figures wrong when intact the previous councillor got it spot on from May the 9th.

Yep completely agree with you the comment on la marina info in may,did say the concert was costing 20,000 Euros,whilst Jeff denied this at first and stuck to 9000 Euros,he later apologised,and said the site for the concert had been changed etc. Whilst he was on holiday in the U.K.and the revised figure was 18000 euros.
I wonder if the information he gave to Trevor was word of mouth or actually printed somewhere.(this is for my own self knowledge)

San Fulgencio councillor Borja Alonso organized the Rock Arena concert in La Marina urbanisation on 7th July and he has been interviewed by Vega Baja television. During the interview he announces that he wants the rock concert to be an annual event in San Fulgencio!

Wow. So what's councillor Jeff got to say to that, wether I like saying this or not I'm far more intent on believing what I read on La Marina info than tw blog. So now the cost has escalated upto €30,000 euros. You all bestake the best of your next 3 years, with the austerity pack that's just been introduced PP - PIPN best make the best of the next 3 years.
But hey what do I know about councillors. If it was €30,000 spent on that concert the entire ruling council need to be ashamed.. It just amazes me that this money from Valencia just seems to increase each time , even though Spain is on dire trouble.

So the opposition councillors,now reckon the cost of the Rock Arena has now risen by a further 10,000 Euros to around 30,000 in total,
Jeff a word of advise,If you are going to refute this figure,please check with Borja Alonso,before you say anything,He kept you out of the loop when the cost of the Concert doubled the first time,and made you look a bit silly,causing you to apologise,dont give him the oppurtunity to do it again

There were Seventeen elected councillors. Eight in opposition and Nine in the Government.(PP 8 PIPN 1)

I apologise Jeff,I believe it was the previous council had 15, I forgot it was increased to 17. in the last elections.

Well I for one enjoyed the Rock Fest but I would have also gone if it had been a brass band or orchestra.
This was supposed to be to attract tourists so why did we not see any publicity in the local press I think there was one small article also all the bands were Spanish the first was Magnum 44 who did cover versions of famous international bands and were very good the following I presume did all there own stuff or covers of famous Spanish bands these were all great musicians but sang in Spanish (of course).
My point is why did councillor Borja Alonso pick these acts why did he not publicise this better to attract international tourists me being a cynic what age group is the councillor and does he know any of the bnads involved? It would be interesting to see a breakdown of the €30,000 budget I realise the cost of lighting sound equipment and stage will be high but what did the bands get paid and why were they all just Spanish there are some good up and coming English Bands in the area who would have jumped at the chance to play at a festival like this I do not know if there are any other good bands from other nationalities but would think if there are any then they would also have liked to be included making a more international audience.

Sorry Jeff but I find it a little strange that you have come back onto this forum for the first time in many months just to remind everyone how many councillors were elected last year! Can we expect direct answers on the forum to some of the much more important questions posted over recent weeks?

It was good to see Jeff posting again on the forum, even if it was only a couple of factual points. I thought that we had all managed to frightened him away totally. I suspect that the last person to post was one of those so called trolls from another forum. It will be interesting to see how hard they bleat their innocence.

I dont think jeff will reply very often on this forum,I think he was in fact correcting me,on a mistake i made in an earlier comment ,when i queried the amount of councillors on the San Fulgencio council,I have since apologised for my error.
I gather he didnt or couldnt answer the other points I put on the same comment,Which is a shame,but obviously he either thought that they were insignificant,or he wouldnt or couldnt answer them,To which he is perfectly within his rights to do so.

Why knock Jeff he looked at what the last Councillor did and thought well I could do that and what a nice little earrner and took it from there if he as any sense he will take it on for the next x years get what he can and the ship out as do all concillors worldwide.

David what has a man's name got to do with anything or his nationality or, even his job for that matter. There are good and bad people in every walk of life and every nationality. Can Jeff help it if he is half polish. What a stupid statement you have made. Look at yourself before you criticise others.

If I put on here something that is obviously wrong will Jeff come on here and correct me? If so then I reckon the 'fiasco' of the heavy metal cost more than 40,000 euros which will come out of the La Marina budget! Or is it not wrong???
