Advice Please

We have been asked by a property owner here on La Marina to please put this onto the forum. They do not wish to cause a fuss or to get into a battle with the neighbours. Perhaps Jeff could respond and any one else who has any advice?
"My neighbours at Avd.San Fulgencio, La Marina is having an extension to their villa and a window is going to overlook my property which I dispute, they could easily put a window at the back of the extension overlooking the green area. As I am now in the UK, this is the only way I can dispute this building. Please inform me what to do next."
This property owner will be keeping an eye on the forum for any helpful information.

Hi Ian,

From what I remember when I was working as an Estate Agent, any window overlooking a neighboring property must be at least 3 meters from the boundary line, between the 2 properties. If it is less than 3 meters the window will be illegal (if I am correct), and the owner should complain to the Town Hall. If it is more than 3 meters from the boundary, I don't think there is anything that they can do. I hope that this helps,

with regards to this particular problem, I would suggest that you make your objections in writing. Send the letter to our office on Calle Madrid, with a covering note stating your full particulars and NIE number. We will forward your original letter , with a translation to the Architects Dept. at the Town Hall. Sorry for any delay but I had a few days holiday, but I am back in the saddle.
