CARP-R-US CLUB NEWS

After fishing last week in gale force winds and on a very unproductive venue, the Club this week fished round nine of our Winter series of matches on the Eden Canal in Guardamar.

There was not a lot of wind but the sky was heavy and very overcast and only one angler- Tom Marshall- caught any fish with 4.972 on the feeder with corn. Even the Cormorants left after 30 minutes, having caught nothing.

All being well the next match- the final one in the series- will be fished on the River Segura in Benijofar on the 19th of February.

The first match this year in Murcia will be on the 26th of February and I have received the Murcian Federation Cards.

The next Quiz night will be on Tuesday the 24th of February starting at 7.30pm. Cost is 1 Euro per person and teams to a maximum of 6 are allowed.
The next Club meeting on the 1st of March, is our A.G.M which starts at 11.00am.

Do not forget on the 17th of March we are holding a St Patrick´s night celebration at the Club House. You can either choose from the bar menu, or a special menu costing 9.50€ per person is available on the night. Please book at the bar. Entertainment will be by Paul Christie.
