Woodstock Hackers Golf Society

A good day was had by all from the Woodstock 'Hackers' at Altorreal. Unfortunately only 9 men turned up, with Mark 'Sick-note' Talbot having to pull out at the eleventh hour.

The mighty Roy Weallans was this month's winner with a handy 31 points. He only failed to score on 2 holes. Runner up was Corky Corcoran with a useful 26. He also failed to score on only just 2 holes.

Odd Kristiansen finished the day in third place with 20 points, again only failing to score on 2 holes but those being on the front 9. The 'Cider King' Kevin Marks finished fourth with 19 points with a good 11 points on the front 9. However, he couldn't keep up the consistency and missed chances to score on 7 holes, 4 of which were the back 9. New member 'Leeds United' Gerry Cooke proved it was 'unlucky for some' as he scored 13 points, missing scoring chances on 9 holes reminding us of his football team as 'not being quite good enough' this time. Kjell Dahl didn't fair much better as he scored a total of 12 points with 10 holes, but then only scored 4 points on the back 9. The wooden spoon this month goes to Frank Ramsey scoring a total of 11 points, proving that today was not his day.

Thank you to all who played and next month's list will soon be up at the Woodstock bar. Anyone wishing to play as a guest or join the 'Hackers' can do so by putting their name on the golf list or contacting Secretary Mark Talbot on his mobile - 634324719, or by popping in to the friendly Woodstock and speaking to him directly.
