Card players wanted
We are looking for a couple of card players to join us on a Wednesday afternoon at Temptations in Consum Square.
We normally play crib from 13.30 for a couple of hours and then a form of progressive whist until about 18.30.
We do play for money and on a very bad day you could lose a whole Euro!
Not suitable for the easily offended, but extremely pleasant for people wanting a good laugh.
Just come along any Wednesday at 1.30pm.
If you do not know how to play crib, we can teach you.
Just to clarify John's post , anyone who likes a laugh , with really friendly people would enjoy themselves , if you have some knowledge of cards then I am sure that you would have a fun afternoon , GSOH 100 % essential , dammit just got a tax bill delivered
Crib = cheat, do you all cheat each other? does one have to be able to count up to 21 like B****jack (pc correct) and is it the game where we all put our car keys in a bag on arrival?
Not quite got the hang of it have you Robert,Mental Arithmetic and a good memory are quite important
i.e.you have four cards,7 7 8 9 that gives you 12 points,if the card turned up on the pack is an 8. you have 24 points.0r 6.6.5. 4.inyour hand is 12 points.the card turned up is a 5 ,you again have 24 points.

5.5.5 J earns you 14. if the other 5 is turned up on the pack its 28,but if the 5 is the same suit as the Jack,its one for his knob making 29.Yes it could send you to the funny farm,perhaps thats why I ended up in Spain

Great - we love to teach new skills Tall Lady. Once you have mastered 2 for his Heels and 1 for his Nob you can hold your head high in any group.

I have no idea how I play that game but as a kid I use to trawl the working mans clubs with my uncle in London who use to play it on a Saturday night for money.
As for playing for money of be careful what you say on the forum Jeff my Introduce a tax for that euro.
Whe I say I have no idea how to play I really mean that.
