I have always complained,that Iceland Oversees always overcharged on their goods in their shops.Today I want on their website to try to find out why,when goods are flashed in pounds sterling,they invariably charged one euro 40 cents to the one pound sterlingI must admit I always thought it was a con.On their website they explain the pricing structure,I now understand why they charge at a rate which seemed excessive,after they explained about forward buying of currency and iva on foodstuff(which is zero rated in the U.K)plus transportation costs as well as high fuel costs.So I promise The staff in their stores I will quit moaning about it whenever I shop there

I understand they have to make a living but, last year they were charging, at one time, over 4 euros for a kilo of swede when it was only about 69p in England - a lot of difference for running costs etc. They had 500 grammes of swede at 2.01 euros, previously they had been selling the same swedes for 95cents. Nearly 112% rise?.
